This section will introduce the Ondex Visualisation ToolKit user interface. A network consists of genes/proteins/metabolites as concepts and interactions represented as links i.e. relations between concepts. Firstly, we will explain how to install and run the OVTK. Secondly, we will look at the basic user interface of OVTK. Then we will load up a network to show all menu features of OVTK and some of the core functionality such as layout algorithms, annotators and filters.

The Autodesk approach to Digital Prototyping is unique in that it is scalable, attainable and cost effective allowing a broader group of manufacturers to realize the benefits of digital prototyping with minimal disruption to existing workflows.
Autodesk® offers the most straightforward path for auto suppliers to create, share, and maintain a single digital model – enabling greater collaboration and innovation by bringing together design data from all phases of the product development process.

Newspapers are struggling with harsh economic realities, and are seeking creative new revenue sources while transitioning from their traditional print-centric business model, to where their audience has migrated – the Internet.
A major part of this transition involves newspaper companies producing greater amounts of video content online. Some are hoping the proven high engagement rates of video will generate to their websites greater traffic levels, longer time spent, and more follow-through actions from visitors – all with the ultimate goal of more revenue from advertisers, and overall monetization.

Most of the current methodologies for building ontologies rely on specialized knowledge engineers. This is in contrast to real-world settings, where the need for maintenance of domain specific ontologies emerges in the daily work of users. But in order to allow for participatory ontology engineering, we need to have a more realistic conceptual model of how ontologies develop in the real world. We introduce the ontology maturing processes which is based on the insight that ontology engineering is a collaborative informal learning process and for which we analyze characteristic evolution steps and triggers that have users engage in ontology engineering within their everyday work processes.

With the rise of model-driven development, model repositories are intended to facilitate research in model engineering and consequently in domain-specific modeling. Model repositories are central places where all kinds of modeling artifacts (e.g., meta-metamodels, metamodels, models, and possibly transformation models) are stored and coordinated. They can serve as a platform for making available the specification of metamodels to others (typically necessary for domain-specific modeling languages) and for exchanging models, as well as a resource for teaching/learning materials.

This paper is intended to discuss the impact of Web 2.0 on knowledge management (KM) and the future orientation of KM. These days, the term KM is used rather less than hitherto. However, as Web 2.0 has made its debut and user participation-type culture has expanded, the new concept of “collective intelligence” has been attracting attention. Opinions are currently being advanced with regard to the concept and process of KM and the system architecture that can be used to implement it. This paper also deals with the issue of knowledge provision, a traditional issue of KM, and introduces a KM model in the context of the Web 2.0 age that can expand collective intelligence in a positive spiral by closely linking it to knowledge extraction from various communication tools and job systems.

Fingerprinting is an age old concept and one that adds great value to assessment methodologies. There are several tools available for fingerprinting operating systems (nmap), Web servers (httprint), devices, etc. Each one of these tools uses a different method – inspecting the TCP stack, ICMP responses, HTTP responses. With this evolution of Web 2.0 applications that use Ajax extensively, it is important to fingerprint Ajax tools, framework or library used by a particular web site or a page. This paper describes the method of doing Ajax fingerprinting with a simple prototype serving as an example.
