Adobe Photoshop is the graphic arts industry standard software for raster image manipulation. Cartographers can also use Photoshop to create effective colored shaded relief for maps.
One important advantage in using Photoshop to create shaded relief is that of familiarity. Most cartographers and graphic artists have Photoshop on their desktop and are skilled in using it for working with images. It is an extremely powerful image-editing tool and a skilled cartographer can make many enhancements to a shaded relief map image once it is rendered.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to alter a typical color portrait so that it looks like a professional high- key studio shot. Here are the before and after photos:
Open up the photo you want to use. Then desaturate your photo by clicking on Image / Adjustment / Desaturate.
Now we will kick it up a notch by altering the curves. To do this, click on Image / Adjustment / Curves.

1. What is the Patch Tool
1.) The Patch tool lets you repair a selected area with pixels from another area or a pattern.

There are now two laser cutters available to you; the V-460 has a bed size of 18”x24” and the X-660 which has a bed size of 18”x32”. AutoCAD is the world’s most popular computer-aided drafting software product for the personal computer available in both DOS and windows by Autodesk, Inc. Anything that can be drawn on a drawing board can be drawn by AutoCAD.
AutoCAD is an interactive drawing system designed to permit a user to construct or edit a drawing on a graphics display screen. It is similar to other word-processing programs except that in this case the thing being processed is a drawing. Each drawing is stored on a disk file, and AutoCAD is only able to edit one drawing at a time. An AutoCAD drawing is made up of entities. All the objects in the drawing space are considered entities such as lines, arcs, circles, text, and so on or blocks (which are groups of entities).
