  • O MNI B ROKER
  • O MNI B ROKER is an Object Request Broker (ORB) that is compliant to the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, revision 2.0, as defined in [1] and [2] by the Object Management Group (OMG). Some highlights of O MNI B ROKER are: Full CORBA IDL support Complete CORBA IDL–to–C++ mapping Complete CORBA IDL–to–Java mapping Uses IIOP as native protocol Dynamic Invocation Interface Dynamic Skeleton Interface Interface Repository Peer–to–Peer communication with nested method invocations Support for non-blocking method invocations Support for timeouts Seamless integration with X11 and Windows A COS compliant Naming Service IDL–to–HTML translator for generating “javadoc”–like documentation DynAny API for dynamic Any type handling The current beta version has the following limitations: Only persistent (i.e. manually launched) servers are currently supported No multi–threaded C++ applications (OmniBroker for Java supports tread–per–request and thread–per–client). This manual is — apart from the “Getting started” chapter — not a replacement for a good CORBA book. There are many excellent introductory books on CORBA fundamentals, for example [4] or [5]. This manual does also not contain the precise specifications of the CORBA standard. This would definitely be out of its scope. However, for the understanding of this manual, a good knowledge of the CORBA specification in [1] is absolutely necessary. Especially the chapters covering CORBA IDL and the IDL–to–C++ mapping should be studied thoroughly. Do not expect any of the CORBA teaching books to be a reference for the IDL–to–C++ mapping. The books currently available only give an overview and are neither complete nor up–to–date. There is no substitute for the official CORBA specification as defined in [1]. What thismanual does contain, however, is informationon how
  • Virtools Dev User Guide Manual
  • Virtools Dev is an extensive collection of technologies for 3D visualization. The Virtools Dev technologies are broadly grouped as: 1. an Authoring application 2. a Behavioral Engine (CK2) 3. a Rendering Engine 4. a Web Player 5. a Software Development Kit (SDK) An Authoring Application Virtools Dev is an authoring application that allows you to quickly and easily create compositions (CMOs) full of rich, interactive, 3D content. Industry stan- dard media such as models, animations, images and sounds are brought to life by Virtools’ behavior technologies. You cannot create models in Virtools Dev; Virtools Dev is not a modeling application. However, simple elements such as Cameras, Lights, Curves, inter- face elements, and 3D Frames (called dummies or helpers in most 3D model- ing applications) can be created with the click of an icon. • Tutorial SSH File Transfer (RCI) Manual
  • In the interest of security and information integrity, Rutgers University has implemented several new changes in the ways to upload, share, and send files via your RCI account. Files must be transferred via secure means; you will no longer be able to upload files via programs such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP. SSH Secure File Transfer is the default program will you find available on all university computers. While it is set up and can be used very similar to traditional FTP programs, it is worth mentioning the differences and explaining how to use the program. Opening the Program: Go to the Start menu in the bottom left of the screen, and look through the Programs >> Utilities >> SSH Secure Shell sub-directories. You will see Secure Shell File Transfer; click this to open the program. Download Tutorial SSH File Transfer (RCI) Manual

For example, the top control panel contains commands that create and modify 3D solids; the second control panel contains commands and controls used to navigate 3D models. Preset 3D Viewports 1. Choose View, Viewports, New Viewports 2. Click the dropdown option for Setup and click 3D. 3. Choose Four: Right as the viewport option Named Views 1. Choose View, Named Views… 2. Click the plus (+) sign beside Preset Views. 3. Click NE Isometric, Set Current, Apply, and OK. Steering Wheel SteeringWheels are menus that track the cursor over the drawing window, and provide access to 2D and 3D navigation tools from a single interface. SteeringWheels, or “wheels,” are divided into wedges; each wedge contains a single navigation tool. You can start a navigation tool by clicking a wedge or by clicking and dragging the cursor over a wedge.. Download pdf 3D Tutorials AutoCAD 2009
  • An introduction to 3D draughting & solid modelling using AutoCAD
  • This tutorial is intended to work as a student centered learning resource. It will introduce you to the basics of creating 3D models of your building designs using AutoCAD. Use the AutoCAD help menu system as required. You will be familiar with working in 2D (two dimensions). As you may have already found, this can be quite limiting. You are representing 3D objects in a 2D format, which has then to be interpreted in order to visualise in 3D. Working with a 3D model has many advantages over 2D representations, including: • Ease of visualising from any view point. • Ease of creating 2D draughting views. • Creation of photo-realistic images, animations and virtual reality presentations. • Use of geometry for computational analysis, e.g. FEA. • Use of geometry for CNC manufacturing processes. 3D CAD offers tools to work not only on a plane, along the x and y axes as with 2D CAD, but also in 3D space along the z axis, giving depth to the drawing. This tutorial will introduce you to the three primary types of 3D modelling: • Wireframe • Surface • Solid Download
