Sculptor Java EE Tutorial

After installing the T-Splines plugin, you need to tell Maya to use it.
• On the menu, select Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Plug-in Manager.
• Look for “TSplineShape” (it will be followed by .mll, .so, or .lib; this depends on your operating system). You may need to scroll down to find it.
• Put a check in both the “loaded” and “auto load” boxes. This will load the plug-in and make sure it reloads every time you start Maya.

The SketchUp OBJ exporter extends the export capability of SketchUp by providing an additional export type in the File > Export > 3d Model dialog. OBJ is a legacy ASCII format developed by Wavefront/Alias Software.

• Support for positioned textures. The positioning of textures is now preserved upon export.

CompuCell3D Windows can enhance their simulations by developing customized plugins in C++. In this document we will explain how to set up build system using Cmake and Visual Studio necessary to build additional CompuCell3D plugins.

We assume that you have Visual Studio 2005 and CMake installed on your machine. CMake is free (www.cmake.org) but Visual Studion is not and you might need to purchase appropriate license. Some universities have access to educational licenses for Visual Studion which are either free or have reduced price so you might want to check this before paying full price.

This tutorial explains how to export a 3D Studio Max scene from 3DS Max version 3. Before you start this tutorial, ensure you have installed the Virtools Exporter plugin for 3DS Max. The Scene in 3DS Max Load the sun_room scene located in the scenes folder for this tutorial into 3DS Max. When the file is opened it may indicate that certain textures are missing. If so, simply find the path to the textures in Map_RT. Here is what you should see: Activate Display, Polygon Counts - you will see that the scene contains 474 faces.
