When we first read the requirements, all kinds of wild ideas came up in our minds, most of which were unrealizable in the two weeks we had available. Two weeks we had to use to think of the subject of the animation, to learn how to make animations in Maya, to write this report and of course, to render the final result. Since both of us never made an animation in Maya before, we decided to work through a few tutorials first, trying the examples described and getting used to the animation interface. When we were able to find and use the most basic items for developing animations, we started to work on our final result.
Our animation starts out with a simulation of the ”Matrix Effect”, which displays glowing green letters falling down on the screen. Next, the camera zooms out and displays a square filled with domino stones, guide rails and a ball. The ball will fall down onto the guide rails, roll further down and hit the first domino stone, which then starts the falling of the first row of stones. When the last stone of the first row falls down, it will hit the + shaped item, which will turn around, hitting over the large purple stone, which will then hit the large field of stones and set the final action in motion.

USB connection:
The new standard for connecting printers to computers is the universal Serial Bus (USB) port. It passes data to the printer much more quickly, while requiring fewer system resources to do so. The Galaxy uses USB 2.0 the port is located on the backside of the machine, next to the power cord.
Installing the Print Driver
1. Insert the Epson 7600 installation disk into the Printer Server. Select the 7600 Dye printer, and then click the right arrow.
2. The installation disk will begin loading the software.
3. A compatibility warning will appear, disregard and Click Continue Anyway.
4. The software will begin to look for the Galaxy. Click on Discontinue Search to finish the setup.
5. The compatibility warning will pop-up again, Click Continue Anyway.
6. The driver has been installed, Click OK to continue with the setup.
7. Using the USB cable connect the print server to the Galaxy, turn the Power on to the Galaxy.

Installing Python
First you need to download the appropriate file for your computer from http://www.python.org/download. Go to the 2.0 link (or newer) and then get the windows installer if you use Windows or the rpm or source if you use Unix. The Windows installer will download to file. The file can then be run by double clicking on the icon that is downloaded. The installation will then proceed. If you get the Unix source make sure you compile in the tk extension if you want to use IDLE.

Starting Concord
If Concord is not already running, start it with the following steps:

Open up the photo you want to use. Then desaturate your photo by clicking on Image / Adjustment / Desaturate.
Now we will kick it up a notch by altering the curves. To do this, click on Image / Adjustment / Curves.
You will need to adjust the input and output numbers of your curve. Hover your mouse over the diagonal line and then click once. The input and output number boxes will now be visible. Change the Input number to 171 and the Output number to 240. Then click OK
In order to blur out the background a bit, we will add a Gaussian blur. First, make a duplicate of your photo by right-clicking on it in the Layers Palette
You will now have two layers. The bottom layer is your original and the top layer is your duplicate. Now add a guassian blur to this duplicate (top) layer by clicking on Filter / Blur / Gaussian Blur. Change the radius to 30.0.
In order to have just the background blurred and your subject’s features (eyes, nose, mouth) nice and sharp, we will add a layer mask to the blurred layer and erase some of this layer to expose the sharp image beneath.

Network configuration
• Check to ensure port 443 is open on the firewall. (Note: If your company allows Outlook Web Access, port 443 is most likely already open on your firewall.)
• On the Front-End Server, verify that a server certificate is installed and enable SSL for the Exchange ActiveSync virtual directory (require basic SSL authentication).
• On the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server, verify that a server certificate is installed and update the public DNS to properly resolve incoming connections.
• On the ISA Server, create a Web listener as well as an Exchange Web client access publishing rule according to Microsoft documentation. This is a necessary step in enabling Exchange ActiveSync.
• For all firewalls and network appliances, set the Idle Session Timeout to 30 minutes (check your Microsoft Exchange documentation for alternative heartbeat and timeout intervals).
