Web 2.0 Space To Watch Out For In 20082007 has been a great year for the Web. On the one hand, there has been an upswing in the number of Web 2.0 start- ups globally, while on the other hand, popular Web 2.0 start-ups like Facebook, jaiku, feedburner and others have been acquired or invested in by the giants of the Web like Microsoft and Google. Closer home in India, the trends have been similar, though still in a nascent stage, as social networking became a buzzword with Orkut. That led to start-ups like Minglebox (which obtained funding from Sequoia Capital), BigAdda (backed by Reliance), Desimartini (recently acquired by HTMedia), and many others. Though launches occurred at a lower frequency than in the US, India has seen over 150 Web 2.0 start-ups launched during this year (according to internal research at WATConsult) in different spaces from social networking, social bookmarking and blogging, to media sharing, local search, etc. Let’s take a look at some of the…

Open APIs: The Web as a Platform: Facebook revolutionised the concept of Web applications by opening its API (application programming interface) and introducing a developer platform that allows developers to create applications for Facebook. By doing so, it leveraged the wisdom of the crowds, a concept well explained in the book ‘The Long Tail’ by Chris Andersen. Now everyone could have a unique Facebook profile by just adding applications of their choice. Facebook’s opening of its API led to Google launching ‘OpenSocial’ with Web 2.0 players like MySpace, Engage,Using Microsoft Word’s Annotation Tools: Mac OS XMicrosoft Word has several tools that allow users to annotate a document electronically. In this workshop, we will practice using the tools for tracking changes within a document, highlighting text, and adding comments.
At the end of this document are instructions for using the more advanced annotation features, comparing two documents and merging changes from two documents into a single document. Feel free to practice using those tools on your own time with the exercises provided.
Before using the more advanced annotation features of Word, take some time to familiarize yourself with the workspace. As with many software programs, you can customize the workspace view with the tools you use most often. For the purposes of this workshop, we will review the location and purpose of the commonly used tools.

A cartoon model can first be generated in Pymol, VMD or Chimera, exported as VRML and then converted to OBJ for import into Maya.
1. Clean the model. Use the Polygon “extract faces” tool to separate all of the main parts into individual parts: Beta Arrows, strands, and Helices.
2. Merge the vertices of each new part and delete history. Also rename the parts now if required.
3. Draw curves on the surfaces. Make each surface “live” by clicking the icon that looks like a magnet while the object is selected. Only one object can be made live at a time. Place a CV at just about every ring in the strand tube to achieve a balanced deformation.
This will end up being your initial confirmation state curve.
4. Import the final confirmation state geometry. And make it live and perform the same task as above. However you don’t have to break it up or clean this geometry, it will be deleted.
5. You should have a beginning (yellow) curve for the initial confirmation state and a final (blue) curve for the final confirmation state. With almost the same number of CVs in them...

You need to learn how to ask them the right question. We provide what we consider the most useful and necessary aspects of Photoshop for creating, preparing, or fixing images on course web pages. You will not be inundated with details about pixels, resolution, and color management
As with most programs, there are multiple ways of accomplishing the same end. You will discover more advanced techniques as you become familiar with the software (e.g., using hot buttons versus top menu vs. keyboard commands, etc.) You will have questions that are not answered here. In such cases consult the Adobe Photoshop online help or the printed manual.
Download pdf WEBSITE IMAGES USING PHOTOSHOP: BASIC TECHNIQUESHow To Install PHP On Linuxhis tutorial explains the installation of PHP 5, bundled with Apache and MySQL server on a Linux machine. The tutorial was written primarily for SuSE 9.2, 9.3, 10.0 & 10.1, but most of the steps ought to be valid for all Linux-like operating systems. We will set up PHP as a shared module, being loaded into Apache2 dynamically during the server startup. These instructions are known to work for PHP versions: 5.0.4 through 5.2.1.
Prerequisites
At this point Apache web server must be installed. If you want MySQL support in PHP, MySQL server also must have been installed prior to the next steps

If you ask the question, “Who would want to break into this system or why would they want to?,” the how and why of this line of questioning could fill volumes. The “who” could be anyone whether they have legitimate access or not. The “why” is simple: free computing resources, access to data, damaging your system, embarrsing the university. A compromised system can quickly become a liability as it can affect the network or operations on other machines both locally and remotely.
System security is a critical issue for the safety of your computer, the data on it, and possibly, the other computers on the network. This process of increasing system security is called system hardening. It is not a one-time event; it is a dynamic and reiterative process. Security holes are discovered daily in operating systems and programs. A secure system today may not be secure tomorrow. Some precautions taken now will save you from problems later.
There is no “magic bullet” for securing a system. Every aspect of the system and its maintenance must be considered when securing it. Securing in layers while adding granularity at each level is the best approach. For example, physical security is one layer. An example of adding granularity to physical security is to use badge access to the area where a machine is located. Host security could be considered at the top layer. An example of granularity at this layer is making sure all unnecessary Internet services are off. OneBMW R1100RS Specifications PDFBMW R1100RS Specifications

It is focused on OpenOffice.org 2.x releases, but it should also be useful with 1.9 and 1.1.x releases. Graphics are, for the most part, those using the older style icons rather than the newer Crystal graphics, which are currently only in the en_US and de_DE releases of 2.0.x. Some are also from the 1.1.x user guide where they are similar to existing ones. All these will change frequently as the 1.9/2.0 cycle progresses. In addition, use of the OpenOffice.org Help facility is also covered.
Through Help, users can get detailed answers to all questions at any time by pressing (F1), opening the Help menu or clicking the Help buttons. More information on using OpenOffice.org Help can be found in Chapter 1, “Working with OpenOffice.org”. Other sources of support are available through the users@openoffice.org mailing list, the...

Music can set the tone for a scene and is generally added after the animation has been completed. It takes a large amount of work to coordinate a piece of music with a final animation, especially when specific movements must occur at certain times in the song. This paper describes a method of automatically synthesizing an animation that synchronizes with the input music. Our system allows the user to choose a piece of music and a character and outputs a synchronized animation that expresses the emotion and intent of the music through movement.
The tempo, beat levels, and dynamic levels are extracted from the music and used to drive the animation. The user inputs a music file, a character created in Alias-Wavefront’s Maya, and a script file. The script file gives the user the freedom to decide what movements will be used in the animation, when they will be performed, and by which body part of the character. These mappings, as defined in the script file, allow the user to experiment with different ways of arranging movement and music to create a unique animation. Our animation system is designed for use by a wide range of users, not just those who are proficient at animation or musically inclined. Our technique concentrates on simplicity of movement and user control for creating a unique music-driven animation.

The GPS navigation system frees you from the burden of reading maps or looking for road signs. It will guide you to any destination recorded on your map CD/DVD. The radio, with its superb reception quality, joins the cassette and CD players in providing optimal sound to satisfy every taste while serving up entertainment to make every trip seem short.
The computer calculates vital operating data – including average fuel consumption, cruising range on the remaining fuel and the estimated time of arrival. It provides additional safety before driving – for example, with entry of a code number for the engine immobilizer – and during driving – for example, with an acoustic warning tone so that you do not drive faster than you intend to. We wish you an enjoyable driving experience. BMW AG
