AjaxScope: A Platform for Remotely Monitoring the Client-Side Behavior of Web 2.0 ApplicationsThe rise of the software-as-a-service paradigm has led to the development of a new breed of sophisticated, interactive applications often called Web 2.0. While web applications have become larger and more complex, web application developers today have little visibility into the end-to-end behavior of their systems.
This paper presents AjaxScope, a dynamic instrumentation platform that enables cross-user monitoring and just-in-time control of web application behavior on end-user desktops. AjaxScope is a proxy that performs on-the-fly parsing and instrumentation of JavaScript code as it is sent to users’ browsers. AjaxScope provides facilities for distributed and adaptive instrumentation in order to reduce the client-side overhead, while giving fine-grained visibility into the code-level behavior of web applications. We present a variety of policies demonstrating the power of AjaxScope, ranging from simple error reporting and performance profiling to more complex memory leak detection and optimization analyses. We also apply our prototype to analyze the behavior of over 90 Web 2.0 applications and sites that use large amounts of JavaScript.
In the last several years, there has been a sea change in the way software is developed, deployed, and maintained. Much of this has been the result of a rise of software-as-a-service paradigm as opposed to traditional shrink-wrap software. These changes have lead to an inherently more dynamic and fluid approach to software distribution, where users benefit from bug fixes and security updates instantly and without hassle. As our paper shows, this fluidity also creates opportunities for software monitoring. Indeed, additional monitoring code can be seamlessly injectedFlash ActionScript Quick ReferenceUsing Flash to create animation on the web is popular because the flash player is installed on most computers and the published flash file (SWF file) is small. Flash has a powerful scripting language called ActionScript. You can use script to manipulate and control object on the stage. Its syntax is similar to JavaScript (or C++). Script example, A script can be associated with a keyframe or with an object. To use the following script, copy it to the action panel. Press “Ctrl+Enter” to start the flash file.

Wireless LAN Network Maintenance Service Wireless LAN (WLAN) networks offer colleges the opportunity for flexible working. Maintaining WLAN networks and keeping up to date with the latest developments can put pressure on a college's technical resource. RM's WLAN network maintenance service is a complete service that will help colleges deliver a robust and up to date wireless network without diverting existing resource. Key Benefits • RM coultants provide key maintenance activities, such as updating the network, saving scarce college technical resource. • The service ipects the current security and coverage levels, euring that the college has a secure and reliable wireless network. • The coultancy support highlights areas of concern and provides advice on updated practice and procedures. Solution Overview Our coultants will spend a day oite carrying out the following: • Software and firmware updates. • Functional coverage and security check. • Coultancy support. Solution Description

Java Subset for this Course • We will focus on a subset of the language that will allow us to develop a distributed application using CORBA. • Input and output will be character (terminal) based.

A typical microprocessor contains many such networks, and often they are hot- spots. Although parallel prefix (or scan) has been much studied, surprisingly many questions remain unanswered. As geometries shrink, it is not at all clear how to make low power prefix networks with the desired timing properties. Here, I develop a method of writing very highly parameterised parallel prefix network generators in which we specify the combinators used to build the networks and then search for a topology that matches the given delay constraints. This first case study indicates that, in this functional setting, combinators and search fit well together. The resulting prefix networks are both small and shallow, and likely to be useful in low power applications.
Parallel prefix is one of the fundamental algorithms of computer science, and it has been much studied. Yet many theoretical and practical questions remain open. On the theoretical side, we have not had good enough methods to design small shallow prefix networks with limited fanout. We have not either had good enough methods of producing networks that are adapted to the delay profile of their inputs. These are the problems that I solve towards the end of this paper. Both of these problems are interesting in practice too. Small networks promise low power, and here I show first results indicating that we can achieve low power in practice, although much remains to be done.

They are a versatile data structure in which to clump data together in convenient little packages! They are essentially classes with all members defined as public access with no private or protected access modes available. They are most commonly used for conglomerating data and also support member functions, but that attribute is rarely used. I believe this is because when multiple functions are involved, the need for private and protected variables and functions increases.
Definition and Syntax
Arrays are one of the most widely used data structures in programming languages. One downfall of using such a data type is that one must use homogeneous data types, an array can only hold multiple items of the same type. Structures overcome this problem by allowing the programmer to have an unlimited number of items of different data types! Objects contained within the structure are referred to as a members. Here’s an example of what a structure declaration looks like:
Here’s our general structure definition in Example 1. We use the struct keyword followed by a name for the structure. This name must be defined if we would like to make multiple copies of our structure. If we only need one instance, we can declare copyname as our instance name and disregard the name field. We can use listname[x] if we would we know that we will be immediately needing x copies of our structure.
In Example 2, we haveAn ASM specification of C# threads and the .NET memory modelModern object-oriented programming languages like Java or C# support multithreaded programming. They allow several threads to run concurrently sharing objects on the heap in the same address space. Each thread has its own frame stack, program counter, local variables and registers. The languages have special syntactical constructs for synchronization. Java has a synchronized statement and synchronized methods, while C# has a lock statement and several attributes that can be applied to classes and methods to control their run-time synchronization behavior.
Although the C# programming languages supports multi-threaded programming directly via special syntax, the underlying thread model is poorly documented and still considered to be part of the library. The Ecma standards for C# [4] and the Common Language Infrastructure [5] contain only a few paragraphs about threads. For example, the lock statement is defined in by a reduction to the library functions Monitor.Enter and Monitor.Exit which are not further specified there. Important issues, such as the order of writes to volatile and non-volatile fields, are just briefly mentioned in two paragraphs in. Hence, a program developer has to rely solely on the class library documentation that comes with Microsoft’s .NET framework Software Development Kit. Unfortunately, that documentation is not very precise with respect to threads, locks and memory issues. Moreover, it is not identical with the (XML) specification of the types that comprise the standard li- braries in [5, Partition IV, Profiles and Libraries]. For example, specifications of Thread.Interrupt, Thread.Suspend and Thread.Resume are not included in.
If a programmer cannot rely on
