  • Drosophila Activity Monitoring System User's Guide
  • The TriKinetics Drosophila Activity Monitoring System consists of one or more Activity Monitors, a Power Supply Interface Unit and Power Supply, and a host Macintosh or Windows PC for data collection. Each monitor uses an onboard microprocessor to independently detect and count activity events, and at periodic intervals to upload the activity totals to the host computer. The monitors are connected to the Power Supply Interface Unit by a network of conventional 4-wire telephone cables which supply operating power and lines for data transmission. Monitors may be plugged and unplugged from the network at will without disturbing the activity of other monitors. Data Collection At periodic intervals, ranging from 1 second to 60 minutes, the DAMSystem program in the host computer transmits a command to all monitors to simultaneously 'freeze' their current count totals. The monitors set aside these 'frozen' counts, reset the totals to zero, and begin counting again for the next measurement period. Meanwhile, the host begins a sequence of requests from each monitor in turn (by address number) to transmit its 'frozen' counts to the computer for storage and later output. This data collection or 'reading' sequence requires about 2/3 second per monitor, placing a lower limit on the reading interval if multiple monitors are used. Data Storage The DAMSystem3 program stores the retrieved monitor data in a folder on the hard drive which is automatically created: DAMSystem3Data. Individual text files for each monitor accumulate successive readings for as long as the program operates, and these files may grow without limit to the
  • Enter the Matrix - Games Cheats Hints & Trainer PC Guide
  • Enter the Matrix is just another example of a movie franchise that had to have a game sequel. Unfortunately, it was slated to appear in the same time with the movie in question, having the producers rush the development and finally releasing a somewhat unfinished game on the market (and if you were to ask me, a bad looking one at that). The game doesn’t follow the adventures of Neo as we might have expected, but in terms, it follows the story of a small character, at least in the movie and it’s used as a pretext for filling some of the gaps in the original script. Cheat mode: Enter the Hacking engine in the game. Enter CHEAT.EXE and the cheat menu will be unlocked. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding effect. • Programmer's Guide to the Java 2D - API Enhanced Graphics and Imaging for Java
  • The Java 2D™ API enhances the graphics, text, and imaging capabilities of the Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT), enabling the development of richer user interfaces and new types of Java™ applications. Along with these richer graphics, font, and image APIs, the Java 2D API supports enhanced color definition and composition, hit detection on arbitrary geometric shapes and text, and a uniform rendering model for printers and display devices. The Java 2D API also enables the creation of advanced graphics libraries, such as CAD-CAM libraries and graphics or imaging special effects libraries, as well as the creation of image and graphic file read/write filters. When used in conjunction with the Java Media Framework and other Java Media APIs, the Java 2D APIs can be used to create and display animations and other multimedia presentations. The Java Animation and Java Media Framework APIs rely on the Java 2D API for rendering support. Enhanced Graphics, Text, and Imaging Early versions of the AWT provided a simple rendering package suitable for rendering common HTML pages, but not full-featured enough for complex graphics, text, or imaging. As a simplified rendering package, the early AWT embodied specific cases of more general rendering concepts. The Java 2D™ API provides a more flexible, full-featured rendering package by expanding the AWT to support more general graphics and rendering operations. For example, through the Graphics class you can draw rectangles, ovals, and polygons. Graphics2D enhances the concept of geometric rendering by providing a mechanism for rendering virtually any geometric shape. Similarly, with the Java 2D
  • Visual Studio Tools for Office Sample Chapter
  • Now that we have considered the basic pattern of the Office object models, let us consider how developers pattern and build their Office solutions. There are three patterns that most solutions built using Office follow. • Office automation executable • Office add-in • Code behind an Office document An automation executable is a program separate from Office that controls and automates an Office application. An automation executable can be created with development tools such as Visual Studio .NET 2005. A typical example is a stand-alone console application or Windows Forms application that starts up an Office application and then automates it to perform some task. To start a solution built this way, the user of the solution starts the automation executable that will in turn start up the Office application. Unlike the other two patterns, the automation code does not run in the Office process but runs in its own process and talks cross process to the Office process being automated. An add-in is a class in an assembly (DLL) that Office loads and creates when needed. An add-in runs in process with the Office application rather than requiring that a separate process from the Office application is running. To start a solution built this way, the user of the solution starts the Office application associated with the add-in.
