  • Installing and using the Message Box Knowledge Object for Authorware
  • This document assumes you have a copy of the Message Box KO installer. You can download the Message Box KO from the internet at: http://www.learningconsulting.com. Please contact AEC Consulting directly, for more information. The Message Box KO works with Authorware 5, 6 and 6.5. Please make sure that Authorware is installed and/or available before launching the installer. The installer for the Message Box KO is very simple. The only prompts that you typically need to follow are the “Next” and “Finish” buttons. To install the Message Box KO: 1. Double-click the Message Box KO installer file. 2. In the Welcome screen, click Next to install the KOs shown in Figure 1, below. 3. The Message Box KO installer tries to automatically find the location where Authorware is installed. If it is unable to determine this location, you may receive a prompt similar to Figure 2, to manually locate the Authorware folder. Otherwise, the installer immediately copies the necessary files to appropriate Authorware subfolders, see Figure 3. If the installer copies the Message Box KO files to a location other than the intended Authorware folder (i.e. Authorware is installed in more than one location), contact your vendor for more information. • 2007 AUDI A6 AVANT
  • Introduced in the 2005 model-year, the current generation of the A6 is relatively unchanged this year, apart from the fact that the V8 now develops 15 extra horsepower and that an S6 version with a 435-hp V10 is available. The Avant, as Audi names its station wagon models, is offered with a 3.2L V6 and Quattro full-time all-wheel-drive. As the vehicle is a bit low, front as well as rear access is relatively easy. The front seats are very comfortable thanks to such features as adjustable height and lumbar support. With tilt and telescoping steering, drivers easily find a very good driving position. Legroom is good, while headroom with the sunroof is tight for tall individuals. In the back, the bench seat is comfortable for just two people because the transmission tunnel takes up the foot room in the middle. Headroom and legroom are sufficient. The seatback splits 60/40 and folds to form a floor that angles up slightly towards the front, leaving a gap behind the front seats. Fortunately, you can install a vertical net to keep animals or objects from falling into the gap. Cargo capacity is good, but the rather pronounced forward angle of the C-pillars prevents use of full height for about 40 cm. The hatch opens wide and there are four movable tie-downs. September, 2006 Page 1 APPLICATIONS NOTE AN602: DHX Technology Overview John Beekley, VP Applicatio Engineering, Coair Memory, Inc. Introduction For several yea, heat spreade have been included on enthusiast memory modules to aid in heat dissipation. Dual-path Heat Exchange (DHX™) technology represents a strong effort by Coair's enginee to devise an optimized thermal solution based on sound technical principles. This paper will provide a description of this technology and show some test results illustrating the superior performance that can be gained through the use of this technology. Background Typical desktop compute use memory modules without any heat spreade, heat sinks, or dedicated airflow. However, for yea, enthusiast modules have been fitted with heat spreade for improved thermal characteristics as well as aesthetics. As system speeds have increased, the need for memory cooling has become more apparent. Let's take a look at why this is the case. How Heat is Generated All integrated Download PDF
  • Studio Lighting Tutorial
  • In this tutorial, I will show you how to setup a studio lighting rig that I use mainly for vehicle rendering. Basic to intermediate knowledge of 3DS Max is needed for this tutorial. I will be using 3DS MAX 9 for this tutorial, if you have a different version, your button configuration may be a slightly different. This process will take about 10-30 minutes, depending on your particular skill level. First, you open MAX and go to the Left view port. I like to maximize the view port that I am working in so I would hit ALT+W. Ok, now you need to go to the Create tab, select Shapes, and then select Line. Draw a line like I have done in the picture below Next, go under the Modify tab and open the Modifier List and scroll down until you see Lathe. When you first apply the Lathe modifier, your line will look really weird. Simply go under the Parameters Menu, and then under the Align sub-menu select Max. To get the shape that we want, while still under the Parameters Menu, change the Degrees to 180.0. Make sure the check box next to Weld Core is selected. After you do that, you should have something like I do below. Download pdf Studio Lighting Tutorial
  • Manipulating Microsoft SQL Server - Database Security
  • This paper will not cover basic SQL syntax or SQL Injection. It is assumed that the reader has a strong understanding of these topics already. This paper will focus on advanced techniques that can be used in an attack on a (web) application utilizing Microsoft SQL Server as a backend. These techniques demonstrate how an attacker could use a SQL Injection vulnerability to retrieve the database content from behind a firewall and penetrate the internal network. This paper is meant to educate security professionals of the potential devastating effects SQL Injection could have on an organization. Web applications are becoming more secure because of the growing awareness of attacks such as SQL Injection. However, in large and complex applications, a single oversight can result in the compromise of the entire system. Specifically, many developers and administrators of (web) applications may have a false sense of security because they use stored procedures or mask an error messages returned to the browser. This may lead them to believe that they can not be compromised by this vulnerability. While we discuss Microsoft SQL Server in this paper, this is no way indicative that Microsoft SQL Server is any less secure than other database platforms such as Oracle or IBM DB2. SQL injection is not a defect of Microsoft SQL Server – it is also a problem for every other database vendor as well. Perhaps the biggest issue with Microsoft SQL Server is the flexibility of the system. This flexibility is what allows it to be
  • FactoryFLOW Tutorial
  • The tutorial uses the actual FactoryFLOW program to introduce the features of FactoryFLOW. The tutorial has three sections: 1. The first section shows you how to generate several charts, selectively view paths, and generate a workcenter utilization report. 2. The second section shows you how to make and save alternative layouts and material handling systems. 3. The third section takes you step-by-step through a basic analysis of a ladder factory. Tip Look over Getting Started in the Factory Programs Guide for a quick review of what you should know before attempting any of the FactoryFLOW tutorials, including how to load the Factory menu and start FactoryFLOW. Repeating the Tutorial The INSTALL program copies the files needed for the tutorial to the CIMFTUTORIAL directory on your hard disk, with a backup set of the files to the BAKTUTOR directory. If you named the CIMF directory something else during installation, substitute that name when referring to your directory. The files include drawing and data files used in the tutorial. During the tutorial, you will modify the original files and create new data files. To do the tutorial a second time, you will need to restore the files to their original condition. To restore the files, first delete all files from the TUTORIAL directory, then copy everything from the BAKTUTOR directory Download pdf FactoryFLOW Tutorial

  • Focusing the Autofocus: The a Autofocus group in the first level of the Custom Settings menu contains a variety of advanced autofocus options. This chapter details options that can be used to frame moving subjects at sporting events: a1 (AF-Cpriority selection), a3 (Dynamic AF area), and a4 (Focus tracking with lock-on). These options are best used with the focus mode selector rotated to C (continuous-servo AF) and the AF-area mode selector rotated to I (dynamic-area AF). 1. Select continuous-servo AF. Rotate the focus-mode selector to C. The camera will continually adjust focus while the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. 2. Select dynamic-area AF. Rotate the AF-area mode selector to I (dynamic-area AF). If the subject briefly leaves the selected focus point, the camera will focus based on information from surrounding focus points 3. Choose an option for Custom Setting a1. Choose whether the camera gives priority to focus or to shutter response in focus mode C. 4. Choose an option for Custom Setting a3. Choose the number of focus points used for dynamic-area AF. Select 9 points or 21 points for track-and-field events or for subjects that move unpredictably. GET RESULTS FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND END USERS Collaborative infrastructures such as intranets and shared services have become a standard strategy for team collaboration and efficient operations across all industries. Every department in an organization may rely on a collaborative environment such as Microsoft SharePoint to connect their people, information, processes and systems. In fact, many departments—sales, marketing, engineering, accounting, operations, support—have come to depend on SharePoint to do their jobs. SharePoint makes it easier to view, use and systematically save changes to critical documents for a distributed team. However, the sheer volume of content accumulated over time, generated by multiple owners, used and edited by others, with the addition of network documents and files, makes it difficult and time-consuming even for expert users to locate the right content quickly, then take the appropriate steps with that content.
