In combination with the NXA-USBCC (FG070-602), this innovative application allows the user to connect any computer to the control network. Simply plug in the USBCC stick into any computer to experience complete access to control your computer directly through an AMX Touch Panel.
The USB Control Stick contains everything that you need to implement
Computer Control functionality including:
• The amxCC server application
• The configCC configuration utility
• NetLinx cc-GuestPC Code Module
• Sample Code and Programming/Configuration Page.
Using the Configuration Utility
1. Connect the computer to an Ethernet Network that can communicate with the NetLinx Control System (FIG. 2).
2. Insert the USB Computer Control Stick into the USB port on the computer that is being controlled. A series of USB driver installation popup windows appear.
3. Confirm that a Confirm that a new USB detection icon () appears in the lower-right taskbar (on a PC) of the display window. This icon does not appear on a MAC.
4. Use the computer’s file browser to navigate to the USB stick’s drive location and open the Config folder on the USB Control Stick drive directory.
5. Double-click the configCC (AMX G4CC Config on a MAC) executable to run the utility (FIG. 3) from the NXA-USBCC drive.

For a machine with 26 GB of hard disk space, spread out over two drives, here's one possible configuration. Boot is always 100 MB, unless you're so pressed for disk space that you need to reduce it further. /var/www is where Web server files go, so you'll want a lot of room there. Swap is usually twice the amount of RAM.
hda (12 GB)
- boot 100 MB
- /var/www 11,000 MB
- swap 500 (assuming 256 MB of RAM)
Reserve a fair amount of space for /tmp and /var, which hold files like logs and working files. Putting each of these in its own partition means that, for example, a log file that runs out of control won't crash the rest of the system. Reserve a fair amount of space for /home. And increase that if you're going to have other people maintaining their own home directories on your Web server. The rest goes to the root partition.
hdb (14 GB)
- / 5000
- /tmp 2000
- /home 3000
- /var 2000
If you're not using DHCP, you're going to need to configure your network card manually. In the Network Configuration step, select the Edit button to the right of the Network Devices list box. You'll uncheck the “Configure using HDCP” check box, and then enter the IP Address and Netmask for your Web server computer. Once back in the Network Configuration step, you'll select the “Set the hostname” option button to “manually”, and enterGoldfren Rotors101 Gold Fren Brake Pads www.motorace.com How to choose the right Goldfren Brake Pad for you. What's your color? Please remember, choosing a brake pad that suits your style and preference is highly subjective. Different people prefer a different feel of their brakes, espe- cially when it comes to racing. Below is a brief description and chart on what each of our brake pads is suitable for and what they feel like. From there, it's up to you to make the right choice.
When racing, sometimes it's necessary to try a couple of different pads until you find the perfect match for you. Remember, give each pad some time to get a feel for what it does for you. While it may be different from what you are used to, it may turn out to be better once you get the feel for it! Of coue, please feel free to contact us if you have questio or need further advice. Download PDFEncoding MPEG video using Mainconcept encoder (Mac)This document describes how to create MPEG 1 or 2 video from a DV (AVI) source using Mainconcept MPEG encoding software. You should know whether your source is in PAL or NTSC format.
Requirements:
• Apple Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.2 or higher)
• Enough free hard disk space (see note below)
• Mainconcept MPEG Encoder 1.4.2 for Macintosh
Create MPEG 1 or 2 video
• Start the Mainconcept MPEG encoder application (mccoder).
• For Video Source, select a DV file from your hard disk.
• For “Format options”, click “Edit...” and select one of the MPI profiles from the MPEG profile menu (depending on your desired output: MPEG 1 or 2, PAL or NTSC) and click “OK”. • Choose a name and location for “Output file”.At the MPI we use different file extensions for MPEG 1 (.mpg) and MPEG 2 (.mpeg).
• Click “Start encoding” in case you need to encode only one file.
• Click the “Add to batchlist” button (+) in case you need to encode more files.
• Repeat above steps to add more files to the batchlist and click “Start encoding” in the batch list to start encoding all files. Make sure to use different output names for each item in your batch list, otherwise files will be overwritten!
• Encoding of MPEG 1 and 2 takes a long time, typically between 1 and 4 times the duration of the recording, depending on the speed of the computer.

If you are using only 2D AutoCAD ® commands, why not use the new 2D Drafting & Annotation workspace? This capability displays powerful 2D tools on the Dashboard.
D Dashboard Control Panels
New 2D control panels provide easy access to layers and include controls for annotation scaling, text, dimensions, multiple leaders, tables, 2D navigation commands, object properties, and block attributes. When you select a tool from the Dashboard, the corresponding tool palette also displays, where applicable.
Tool Palettes
When you drag geometry to an inactive tool palette, it is automatically activated for easy placement—just give it an extra second to switch.
• A new Specify Image option on the shortcut menu makes it easy to assign an image to any tool.
• The location of tools on a tool palette is now saved in the tool catalog (and the profile), making it easier to share your tool palettes with others and maintain the same look and feel.
• Use TPNAVIGATE to set a tool palette current at the command line (for programming purposes).
Clean Screen
Use the Clean Screen button located in the lower-right corner of the screen to turn off everything except for the status and menu bars and the command window. This feature comes in handy when showing files to a client and you need to quickly clean up your interface.
Download pdf Lynn Allen’s Tips and Tricks For Using AutoCAD 2008 SoftwareAutocad Isometric DrawingIsometric drawing is essential to the engineering filed. Through the isometric drawing, it is easier to imagine how a part or a drawing would look like. Some isometric drawing has no details such as dimension and annotation. This type of isometric drawing is usually accompanied by orthographic drawings with complete detail and annotation.
I. Setting up AutoCAD for isometric drawing.
1. Open the drafting settings window and select the snap and grid tab. Go to tools from the main menu and select drafting settings from the drop down menu
2. In the snap type & style section, select isometric snap.
3. Select the polar tracking tab
4. Enable polar tracking by clicking the white square just beside the polar tracking on. Set the increment angle to 30 degrees
5. Click the OK button. This will change the crosshair to an isometric mode. This is very useful for creating isometric circles.
6. Press F5 from the keyboard several times and observe the cursor. F5 will allow the cursor to change orientation from top to front and then to side.
II. Creating isometric lines.
Isometric lines are simply lines that are inclined at a 30 degree angle. You can use the length angle method to create isometric lines. However, using this method will make the designing process difficult since you have to type the length and then angle every time you need to create isometric lines.
