In part I - the ‘membrane pore tutorial’ - we’ll create a scene with a turbulent membrane that also has a ‘pore’ dynamically floating in it. Next we’ll create a swarm of molecules that collide with the membrane (and can otherwise only traverse it via the pore opening). We’ll gain finer control over the behavior of individual molecules in the swarm through the use of expressions. Finally, we’ll add goals to the entire swarm and control the degree to which these goals affect the swarm’s movement.
In part II – the ‘blastocyst tutorial’ - we’ll look at how a piece of geometry can serve as a goal for particles. Specifically, we’ll create a blastocyst-stage embryo made up of blobby particles attracted to a sphere. We’ll control the behavior of these particles relative to the surface of the sphere. For the finale, we’ll squeeze the blastocyst out of the zona pellucida surrounding it by using a lattice deformer applied to the sphere.
Download pdf Maya 104: DynamicsVerifying Web Services Security ConfigurationsXML Web Services provide a flexible API for building distributed systems as a collection of endpoints that can send and receive SOAP messages. These systems are secured using message-based cryptographic mechanisms defined in a series of specifications developed by Microsoft, IBM, and others. Such home-grown security protocols often go wrong; they are prone to a well-known class of attacks, formalized by Dolev and Yao, where an attacker can intercept, modify, and replay messages. The vulnerability is only increased by the flexible message formats and complex trust configurations allowed by the standards. Our goal is to verify the security of families of protocol configurations, such as those deployed for Microsoft’s WSE and Indigo web services implementations.
We propose a new specification language for writing machine-checkable descriptions of SOAP-based security protocol configurations and their properties. Our TulaFale language is based on the pi calculus (for writing collections of SOAP processors running in parallel), plus XML syntax (to express SOAP messaging), logical predicates (to construct and filter SOAP messages), and correspondence assertions (to specify authentication goals of protocols). Our implementation compiles TulaFale into the applied pi calculus, and then runs Blanchet’s resolution-based protocol verifier. The TulaFale implementation is available for download.
We also describe a high-level link language for describing security configurations, and demonstrate a tool that can automatically generate and analyze executable security policy deployments for web services written using WSE. This is the first tool we know of that can automatically analyze cryptographic configurations to find real errors and demonstrable attacks.

Download An Ethical Guide to Hacking Mobile PhonesMicrosoft Windows Vista animated mouse pointer loader vulnerability analysisMicrosoft Windows Vista, like previous versions, supports animated mouse pointer. The animated mouse pointers are loaded from .ANI files by the functions from USER32.DLL called LoadCursorIconFromResource and LoadCursor. These functions use an internal function called _LoadCursorIconFromFileMap which, under certain conditions, is prone to a buffer overflow
To understand the vulnerability, a basic knowledge about the .ANI file format is required. The .ANI file starts with a magic value “RIFF”, followed by a DWORD containing the data length, and followed by another magic value “ACON”. The rest of the file is based on chunks. Each chunks starts with a four byte identification word (“anih” for ANI header, “fram” for frames, etc), and a DWORD containing the chunk length. For example, the length of the “anih” ANI header is always 36 bytes long, so the eight bytes of the chunk would be “anihx24 ”.
The internal function responsible for reading the animated pointer from the file is called _LoadCursorIconFromFileMap and is located in the USER32.DLL. The function tries to determine if the file has more than one frame, and if so, it calls another internal function called _LoadAniIcon.

This software is one of the most popular GUI-based tools for MySQL. Most of the features of the software are geared to help the daily work of DBAs and developers. The software is rich in features and therefore this review will only highlight some of the cool capabilities.
Connection to Remote Servers
Most companies require you to use the ssh protocol to access their servers. While it is easy to setup your own ssh tunnel to connect to your remote database, it is quite cumbersome to do that. SQLYog allows you to easily do this and lets you save your secure MySQL connection. I use this all the time and I do not even think about ssh tunneling anymore.
On the downside, when I tried to connect to another database, the software opened a separate window for me. This made it difficult for me to switch from one window to another. This can be annoying if you want to compare two databases but it could also be a security measure so that you do not accidentally apply the wrong SQL statements to the wrong database.

When using a desktop computer with a scanner that is designed to emulate keyboard input, the scanner is wedged into the cable that connects the external keyboard to the computer (hence, the term wedge scanner). Since a laptop keyboard is internal, there is no cable accessible to use a standard wedge connection for a scanner.
However, most laptops make provision for an external keyboard via a separate keyboard connector (or port). Since the scanner connections to the laptop are different from the connections to a desktop computer, the scanner must be programmed specifically to operate as an external keyboard device. This is accomplished by using the programming codes on page 9.

It’s too easy to get preoccupied with everything Prius automatically does for you, especially with the Multi-Display providing constant performance information. The hybrid system was designed so you could to drive it like a traditional car. That way, you can enjoy the remarkably smooth & quiet ride. Let the computer worry about how to save gas and reduce emissions. Startup Engine Warm-Up Reducing Emissions is the highest priority for Prius. It strives to remain a SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) at all times, which means the catalytic-converter must be kept warm even if that requires consuming some gas to accomplish that. V# will convert most VB.NET source code but it does not guarantee 100% code conversion.
Does the converter replace my VB.NET code with C#?
No. The converter keeps the VB.NET code intact, generates the C# code and displays it on the
screen.
I use a lot of nested [With – End With] statements. How does the converter handle
them?
Even though C# does not support With – End With statements, the converter recognizes them
and automatically generates the equivalent C# code.
Does the converter support line continuation?
Yes.
Does the converter support the Handles keyword in VB.NET?
Yes. Even though event handling code in C# does not use the Handles keyword, the converter
automatically generates additional event handling code and injects it into the C# result.
Does the converter support casting for VB.NET commands such as ChrW(), CChr(),
CInt(), CType(), etc.?
Yes.
