Measuring web 2.0 Technologies with webTrends Marketing labWeb 2.0 continues to play an increasingly important role in online business today as consumers look for a new and more engaging online experience and increased flexibility in how they interact with businesses online. In the business brief Measuring Web 2.0 with WebTrends Marketing Lab, Part 1: RIA and RSS Up Close, we demonstrated how to measure Web 2.0 technologies like Rich Internet Applications (RIA)—including AJAX and Flash—to improve the user experience. We also showed that measuring the effectiveness of Real Simple Syndication (RSS) can ensure that you successfully extend the reach of your web content.
Our discussion of Web 2.0 wouldn’t be complete without addressing broadcast media, which is a market that’s emerging as an increasingly important content distribution channel. As an example, a recent eMarketer survey showed that more than one-third of the total US population viewed video at least monthly during 2006, and in three years, more than half of all Americans will be part of the online video audience. In this guide, we’ll examine the challenges marketers face when leveraging broadcast media technologies such as online video and mobile media to drive customer engagement and build brand loyalty. We’ll also focus on best practices for measuring and optimizing these technologies.
Business Challenges
Consumers have taken control over their online experience. It’s the consumer who dictates when, where and how they engage with your company. Marketing WebTrends departments are responding to this shift by investing more in Web 2.0 technologies to provide more choices and more media channels.

There are also a great number of tools and libraries available on many platforms to facilitate working with FITS. We present the FitsLib 1, A library written to facilitate development of astronomical data analysis tools on the Microsoft.Net Platform. This has been developed as a wrapper over one of the very popular and time tested FITS libraries, CFITSIO. Fits.Net library merges the advantages of speed and ruggedness of CFITSIO with the language independence of the Microsoft.Net technology and a simple Document Object Model (DOM). We believe this library will be intuitive for .NET programmers. We present the design and usage patterns of the library in C-Sharp. We also discuss performance issues of the library. Finally we present a number of applications and web services, which are currently running on this library.
We wished to use the CFITSIO package in developing image cutout services on the Microsoft’s .Net Platform in the C-Sharp language. This is a comprehensive library and we did not feel translation was viable, C-Sharp does allow use of managed C++. We set out to wrap a minimal set of routines in the managed C++ programming environment.
This minimal set, however, grew larger as more functionality was required in C-Sharp. It became apparent that developing code with so many pointers and unmanaged data objects in C-Sharp would prove to be prohibitive, both for development and for maintenance. Content detail for this 2001 PONTIAC AZTEK GT:
Pontiac categorizes the Aztek as a Sport Recreational Vehicle, and says it may be the world’s most versatile vehicle. GM’s engineers based the Aztek on the short version of the Pontiac Montana, trimming 9.4 cm from the wheelbase, widening the wheel tread (the distance between the centre of the left tire and the centre of the right tire on each axle) slightly, and replacing the sliding side doors by traditional ones. The Aztek is available in SE and GT versions.
Interior and trunk
Though accessibility is not a problem, the lack of foot room between the seat cushion and the Bpillar makes it harder to get out from the rear. The front seats are very comfortable. In the GT version, the driver can adjust the height of his seat, which contributes to the very good driving position. The four roof pillars are wide and create big blind zones. The median lines on the roadway reflect off the glass portion of the rear liftgate onto the rear-view mirror. On the other hand, when the glass is clean, the driver can more easily judge distance when backing up.

Download PDFImporting other Microsoft Office Files in OpenOfficeThis chapter describes how to import custom dictionaries and AutoText entries from Microsoft Office to OpenOffice.org. The author knows no easy way of importing Microsoft Office AutoCorrect entries into OpenOffice.org.
Custom dictionaries
Dictionaries are used when checking any document for spelling errors. Custom dictionaries are enhanced dictionaries that contain words applicable to particular industries or pursuits, unique words, or custom spellings.
OpenOffice.org does not provide a way to import Microsoft Office’s custom dictionaries. However, a macro has been developed to import Office’s custom dictionaries into OpenOffice.org. A link to download the file is at http://ooomacros.org/user.php#114694. To import Microsoft Office’s custom dictionaries, follow the steps below. (Details are given in the following sections.)
1) Create a new dictionary in OpenOffice.org (optional).
2) Download the file that contains the macro.
3) In Microsoft Word, locate where the custom dictionaries are stored.
4) Import the dictionary into OpenOffice.org.
Create a new dictionary in OpenOffice.org
This step is optional. You can add the words to an existing custom dictionary in OOo.
1) Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > New.
2) New Dictionary dialog (Figure 1): Give the dictionary a name.

Because of this growth the complexity of managing, accessing, and collaborating on electronic data has also grown. Secure access over the Internet has become essential for sharing files with team members in the next office or around the world. WebDrive® offers users secure file access and collaboration.
WebDrive uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and SFTP to ensure secure transmission of your files. WebDrive® can provide S/Key password encryption so that passwords cannot be read during transmission. WebDrive supports WebDAV protocol, which allows you to lock files, change the files, and then release the locks to allow other users to review and update the information.
WebDrive allows you to connect to a GroupDrive® , FTP, WebDAV (DAV), SFTP, Amazon-S3®, or FrontPage® Server using a LAN or Internet connection and to map a Network Drive to the server. You can then treat the server as if it were a hard disk on your system. Drag and drop files or copy files to and from the server using Windows Explorer; or use familiar DOS commands such as copy and xcopy. WebDrive FTP or HTTP enables any application instantly by integrating the server site into the Windows file system.
