Starting AutoCADStart AutoCAD by clicking on the Windows Start button (bottom left), then move the mouse to Programs then AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.3 then "AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.3" and click on AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.3. A dialog giving various startup options will be displayed. Select the second option: "Start from Scratch" and click OK.
Once AutoCAD has loaded, move the mouse around until you see a crosshair cursor. The AutoCAD window has a number of important features: The standard Windows drop-down menus The standard Windows toolbar below the menus, it includes: File-New, File-Open, File-Save, Print and "Find and Replace"(!!). In addition to the standard toolbar there will be a number of AutoCAD specific toolbars: Object Properties, Draw and Modify etc.
The graphics area - that's the area where you draw - note the scroll bars and the axis label. View Tabs - these 'tabs' give access to different view of the current drawing. The "model" tab should be selected at present. The command area - this small window (by default) has space for three lines of text - this is where you type commands. The status area, at the bottom of the AutoCAD window, this includes the current cursor position
Download pdf Starting AutoCADAUTO-CODE Mill Tutorial 1This drawing is ready to use in AUTO-CODE. The part is positioned so that the lower left corner of the rectangle is at 1,1. The contours are drawn as polylines and the drill holes are drawn as circles. All the layers for dimensions and notes can be turned off to reduce the clutter or they may remain on while AUTO-CODE is running. For this tutorial we will be turning them off. In AutoCAD, select the layer control list and freeze the layers that are not used for programming the part.
To freeze the layers, change the sun icon into a snowflake. The only layers you will need for this tutorial are 0 and DefPoints. After turning off the extra layers, you should only see the top and side views of the part. We are going to focus on the top view only.
Starting with a 4 by 6 by ½ inch stock material, the part will be clamped along the top and bottom edges. It is not necessary to show the clamps in AUTO-CODE. It is necessary that you know where they are located relative to the drawing.
For this basic part, we are going to drill the five holes indicated by circles and then cut out the rectangular area in the center using a half-inch end mill. The drill holes will be 3/8” (0.375”) in diameter. With the drawing open, the next step is to launch AUTO-CODE.
DownloadThe Interplay of Real Life and Facebook in Defining Interpersonal Romantic RelationshipsElectronic communication has been redefining the ways in which people communicate with each other since its wide-spread introduction in the 1990’s. E-mail, instant messaging, internet forums, and social networking have added entirely new meanings to interpersonal interaction and community. Through time, internet based communication has developed its own set of non-verbal communication (emoticons, select usage of certain punctuation, chat speak, etc.) Like all other communication technologies, it has also been adapted into everyday life and everyday communication (by those that have access of course).
It is the interplay between internet and real life communication and its subsequent effect on interpersonal relationships that is the focus of this research proposal. Popular social networking websites such as Facebook have bundled many of the internet communication standards such as e-mail, forums, and instant messaging into one resource. Then these communication standards are linked together through a Web 2.0 standard called “social networking.” Social networking allows users to link and communicate with each other through a myriad of ways… and it is always at the user’s discretion.
Research has already been done on who uses Facebook, why they do, and how much time they spend on it (Ellison, Steinfield, & Lampe, 2007). There has also been introductory research done on the benefits of social networking through Facebook (Stern & Taylor, 2007) and the electronic presenting and “looking glass” self through Facebook (Walther 2008). The academic world knows what Facebook is and why it’s used. However, in the last two years, Facebook usage has become a stapleResolveRT User’s Guide (amira for microscopy)ResolveRT’s deconvolution provides powerful algorithms for improving the quality of microscopic images recorded by 3D widefield and confocal microscopes. Two different methods are supported, namely a so-called non-blind and a blind deconvolution method, both based on iterative maximum- likelihood image restoration. In the first case a measured or computed point spread function (PSF) is required. In the second case the PSF is estimated along with the data itself.
The deconvolution documentation is organized as follows: • General remarks about image deconvolution • Data aquisition and sampling rates • Standard deconvolution tutorial • Blind deconvolution tutorial • Bead extraction tutorial • Performance issues and multi-processing The following modules are included: • BeadExtract - obtain a PSF from a bead measurement •
Convolution - convolve two 3D images • CorrectZDrop - corrects attenuation in z-direction • DataPreprocess - background and flatfield correction Deconvolution - the actual deconvolution front-end

Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive.
The tutorial begins with 3D creation tips and tricks for preparing the character mesh, skinning it onto the Biped® skeleton using Physique® and animating the character. Both Biped and Physique are character studio features. It then discusses the 3ds max Shockwave Exporter to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio in the "Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio Environment" options and what happens when youNokia N-Gage QDusing the Data Import application of the PC Suite for Nokia N-Gage QD.......If you install a file that contains an update or repair to an existing
Download manualAspectC#: An AOSD implementation for C#A major problem with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) is that it cannot deal efficiently with crosscutting concerns. Aspect Oriented Software Development (AOSD) is a new methodology that tries to enable the extension of the separation of concerns capabilities in software development. AOSD, which encompasses Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), hopes to enable the developer or architect to capture crosscutting concerns in a modular fashion.
The objectives of the dissertation include the design, implementation and evaluation of a tool that enables the modularisation of crosscutting concerns within C#, that we have called “AspectC#”. AspectC# must:
Allow the developer to use AOP constructs within C#.
Make no explicit language extensions to C#.
Be extensible for future development.
AspectC# hopes to enable the developer to modularise crosscutting concerns within C#. By modularising crosscutting concerns this will lead to an easier development and maintenance of applications.
The evaluation included a small case study comparing an example using AspectC# and OOP with C#. We believe the case study and tool supports the case for the use and promotion of AOSD. Special emphasis was placed on picking a real world, easily understood example of the use of the tool and we believe this represents an excellent introduction to some of the most widely used AOP and AOSD techniques.

You have selected a vehicle designed, engineered and crafted by teamwork, a vehicle backed by a proud history of performance and value. Since the first “classic Six” rolled off the line in 1912, more than 110 million Chevrolet cars and trucks have worn the Chevrolet marque. That kind of reception from auto owners is unmatched by any other car manufacturer in the world.
The chevrolet blend of value and performance has become an American tradition-whether bred for the racetrack like the legendary Corvette and Camaro, or created for the pleasure of the open road. Every decade, Chevrolet has reinforced its heritage of affordable performance with quality and value crafted into each vehicle. It’s not surprising that for eighty years Chevrolet has been America’s automobile…truly “The Heartbeat of America.”
