The Practical SEO E-bookThis E-Book was created with the small business person in mind. Whether you are a musician, a record label owner, or run some other kind of business and have a DIY mentality, this report will help you establish your online presence with a good foundation, or make the most of your current online presence. It is designed for people with little to basic knowledge of internet marketing - not for the advanced web marketer.
I myself am not an SEO scientist, but an online marketer who is self- educated in the world of SEO. After much reading and experimentation, I’ve distilled the overwhelming amounts of information into what I think are the most fundamental and easy-to-implement tactics. I wrote it with small businesses, bands and others who are just starting out in mind – budgets are probably skimpy and you want to be able to accomplish results yourself with as little paid help as possible. All these tips can be easily implemented in such circumstances. If you do have a designer – give this book to him/her to implement for you. These tips are designed to be practical, effective and a good starter in the world of SEO – but not exhaustive.
This is a free e-book so by all means share it with friends and colleagues. I hope you enjoy it and find it beneficial. I plan on making revisions and updates to it so I’m always interested in constructive feedback that might improve it: info@elemental-consulting.com
Some of the topics touched onPain Free ASP.NET 2.0 ObjectDataSource GenerationMicrosoft provides a very simple layer between the web interface (asp.net 2.0) and the database. The object they use to perform this is the SqlDataSource. It works very well in many cases. It’s fast, easy to use and great for demonstration of technology and to show how fast you can program database type applications. It falls apart (IMHO) when the application starts getting larger and requiring more customization. It’s also very hard to maintain because at the end of the day, it puts most of what it does in the aspx page itself.
The ObjectDataSource on the other hand completely abstracts the web interface from the database. This means that you can completely isolate the web interface from directly going against data tables. Because this layer sits between the web and the database, it allows for complex transformations of incoming data to the back end databases. This would be near impossible (and unreadable) with the SqlDataSource.
In general, the bad news about ObjectDataSource’s is that they are bulky to program. Lots and lots of repetition, lots of attribute lists and lots of chances to make small mistakes that are hard to find. This being the case, it is just screaming out for some kind of code generator and hence the name, “Pain Free ODS Generator”
Who This is For
The Pain Free ObjectDataSource Generator (PF ODS Gen) is for engineers who just read the Why part above and knew exactly what I was talking about. It’s for engineers who know how to build ObjectDataSourcesAutoCAD 2004 Command Aliases TutorialCommand aliases are alternative names for AutoCAD commands. For example you can invoke the LINE command by entering L in command line. There is no need to type the complete name. Some commands have more than one alias. For instance CO and CP are both aliases for COPY. Some command aliases are longer than the command name.
For example RECTANGLE is an alias for RECTANG. A good knowledge of command aliases can increase you speed in entering the commands at keyboard.
Unfortunately the AutoCAD 2004 online help does not contain the list of command aliases. Below, you will find a complete list of command aliases as they are defined in the default AutoCAD Program Parameters file (ACAD.PGP). I will explain this file in a future article.

When we began to work on this material, we weren’t even thinking of writing a book. Our initial, quite unpretentious goal was to define a list of guidelines for internal use in Code Architects, the software company we founded in 2002.
We founded Code Architects when we realized the extent of the Microsoft .NET Framework potential and the impact it would have on the developers’ community and on the way enterprise-level applications are designed and implemented. Before long, we found ourselves working on software projects that included 400,000 lines of code, mainly written in C# but with some portions developed with Visual Basic. Projects of this size are simply too large for just one or two programmers, and you need more than plain good will to write them in an orderly way. Instead, you need coding discipline and, above all, a set of well-defined and proven guidelines. These guidelines are essential when many developers with different expertise levels and knowledge backgrounds work at the same project.
In the long run, our initial checklist of recommended practices grew in size and included special cases and exceptions meant to accommodate the imperfect world of software development. We also added code examples and short sample projects. But foremost, we discussed nearly all the guidelines in our internal forum and weighed the opinions of Code Architect’s’ team of .NET experts, which includes renowned writers and conference speakers (who are mentionedGetting Fit with .NetFitNesse is a great Web-based collaboration tool for software testing, which can really help to test- drive the code and build a framework for holding the project together during big changes and re- factoring. It makes writing and running automated tests easy and allows test-driven software teams to share knowledge and expectations. Under the hub, FitNesse runs FIT (Framework for Integrated Testing). Both FitNesse and FIT are open-source tools, and together they are very popular as a testing framework in the Java community. Although FitNesse supports testing .Net code, some things don't quite work out of the box or do not follow official on-line documentation. However, the integration is stable, and I guarantee that the effort required to start using FitNesse is worth it.
This is a guide to help you get started with FitNesse. I will not try to make a case for automated tests or test-driven development here, nor explain all the benefits of FitNesse. Here are just a few advantages of using FIT/FitNesse combination for testing:
- It is easy to write complex tests
- Tests are easy to read and understand
- FitNesse promotes collaboration between team members (and customers)
- Test-specific code is very thin, and it looks much more like an integration layer then typical testing code
I will refer to FIT/FitNesse combination in this document simply as FitNesse – although it might not be 100% correct, it will simplify the story. This is a beginners guide and you will be working directly with FitNesse, and I do not wantTransitioning from Microsoft Office to WordPerfect OfficeWordPerfect® Office 12 introduces several new features that were designed to facilitate compatibility with other office productivity suites. These suite-wide compatibility enhancements make WordPerfect Office the world’s leading alternative to Microsoft® Office. You can easily open, import, export, and save Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Excel, and Microsoft® PowerPoint® files, reducing or eliminating many of the difficulties that can arise when switching applications.
With the new Workspace Manager, WordPerfect Office 12 makes it easier than ever for users to switch from Microsoft Office. With two easy clicks, the Workspace Manager lets you simulate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint workspaces in WordPerfect®, Quattro Pro®, and Presentations™ respectively. While there are many similarities between these applications, you may find this helpful for getting accustomed to working with WordPerfect Office. Simulating a Microsoft Office workspace positions the WordPerfect Office features, including toolbars and menu items, where you would find the equivalent feature in Microsoft Office. It also applies Microsoft Office keyboard shortcuts to WordPerfect Office features, allowing you to quickly find the tools you need.
WordPerfect Office 12 also introduces the Compatibility toolbar, a feature that eases the transition from other office productivity applications. Available in WordPerfect, Quattro Pro, and Presentations, the Compatibility toolbars let you save to popular document publishing formats, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, and XML with one easy click. In addition, the Compatibility toolbars give you immediate access to online Help for migrating from Microsoft Office.

Now it’s a very rare day when these two constituencies can agree on anything, so imagine my surprise when both camps reached a consensus on the positive impacts that Web 2.0 services will have on non-voice revenues.
The operators expressed their envy and excitement about the pace of innovation and consumer adoption of Web 2.0 services on the internet, and with certainty predicted good fortunes and optimism for the entire value chain when these Web 2.0 services have been migrated to mobile.
Indeed this group isn’t alone in its optimism for this “Web 2.0 to Mobile” migration strategy. It seems not a month went by in 2007 without an announcement by a handset vendor, a mobile operator, a media company, or hundreds of entrepreneurial software startups, investing in technical and marketing initiatives and ultimately clamoring to align themselves with one of the Web 2.0 superstars.
Okay I admit it. I just don’t get it. Perhaps I’m slow because I’m Canadian, but I just don’t understand the business rationale or source of optimism related to this “Web 2.0 to Mobile” migration strategy.
If this optimism is being driven by the scale of revenues that Web 2.0 companies generate from advertising on the internet, and how this can in some shape or form lead to a new revenue stream for mobilePDA User GuideIt is probably a good idea to at least browse your PDA manual at the. start. PageRank is a voting algorithm weighted for importance. The indicators of a Web pages importance is the number of pages that link to a particular page. Messrs. Brin and Page soon added another factor which voted for the importance of a Web page. This idea was the number of people who click on a Web page.
The more clicks on a Web page, the more weight that Web page was given. Over time, still other factors have been added to the PageRank algorithm; for example, the frequency with which content on a page is changed.
