Berkeley Madonna User's GuideBerkeley Madonna is a program that numerically solves systems of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and difference equations. It was originally developed to execute models written in STELLA® more quickly. Over time, we added our own unique features which have made Berkeley Madonna into a fast, self-contained, and easy-to-use modeling tool. Berkeley Madonna is available for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. While these versions are mostly identical, there are some differences which are noted throughout this guide with the notation [Macintosh] or [Windows].
System Requirements
Macintosh: Power Macintosh or compatible computer
1 with a PowerPC processor and least two megabytes of free memory. It may require more memory depending on the size of your models and the amount of data they generate. The flowchart editor requires MRJ 2.1 or later to be installed on your system.
2 You can download the latest version of MRJ from http://www.apple.com/java. Note that Mac OS 9 comes with MRJ 2.1.4. We recommend that you use MRJ 2.2 or later since it offers significantly improved performance over MRJ 2.1.x. Windows: PC compatible running Microsoft Windows 95 or later, or Windows NT 4.0 or later. It does not work under older versions of Windows NT (such as 3.51), nor does it run under 16- bit versions of Windows (3.1, 3.11, etc) .
3 The flowchart editor required JRE 1.1 to be installed on your system.
4 You can download the latest version of JRE 1.1 from http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre.

The optics/electronics unit contains one or two lasers (blue, argon-ion and red, HeNe) along with all of the laser beam steering optics, the galvanometer which creates the laser scanning line, and a scan lens for introduction of the scanning laser beam into the microscope. Fluorescent light collected by the microscope is passed to a collection of filters and PMT (Photomultiplier Tube) detectors in the optics/electronics unit. Description The photo below of the optics/electronics unit of the LSC indicates the location of the LSC Main Power switch, Laser Power switch, and the toggle.

Now that Maya is running, you first need to understand what you are seeing. There are a lot of items displayed in the Maya user interface. The best way to begin is to learn the fundamental tools and then learn additional tools as you need them. Begin by learning some of the main tools.
The Maya workspace
The Maya workspace is where you conduct most of your work within Maya. The workspace is the central window where your objects and most editor panels appear. When you start Maya for the first time, the workspace displays by default in a perspective window, or panel. There are the other components of the default perspective view panel:
- The panel is labeled persp at the bottom to indicate that you are viewing the Maya scene from a perspective camera view.
- The panel has its own menu bar at the top left corner of the panel. These menus allow you to access tools and functions related to that specific panel.
- The grid is displayed with two heavy lines intersecting at the center of the Maya scene. This central location is called the origin. The origin is the center of Maya's 3D world, and with all object's directional values measured from this location.

Download PDFThe PacketLogic Python APIPacketLogic has predefined user interfaces that are powerful and easy to use, such as the client and the Webstatistics. However, when the need arises to do something that is not defined in those interfaces, they are not possible for the end user to modify or customize. This is when using an API is very effective. Using the PacketLogic Python API provides access to virtually all the functionality available in the existing user interfaces, but with full possibilities to customize, integrate, and otherwise adapt the interface according to local and site-specific requirements. The PacketLogic Python API is implemented as a Python module, which means writing scripts to interface with a PacketLogic unit is a matter of:
1. Installing Python Python is available for free for all major operating systems.
2. Installing the API The API is available for free as a download from Procera Networks, on Windows and Linux operating systems.
3. Writing scripts
PythonShell and IDLE
The Windows installer includes IDLE, a rudimentary development environment for Python. In IDLE, the scripts can be written and executed. IDLE is started with the PythonShell open, which is where the scripts are run and the output displayed. The Python shell also allows executing the scripts line by line, which is sometimes useful. For scripts of any non-negligible complexity, however, it is recommended to open a new window (Ctrl+N), write the script in the editor, save it, and execute it (by pressing F5 or selecting Run Module from the Run menu). Of course, IDLE can be substituted for an3ds Max 2009 design tutorials using inventorYou can import Autodesk Inventor parts and assemblies directly into 3ds Max. Download pdf 3ds Max 2009 design tutorials using inventorInstalling Fedora Core 1There are three basic parts to installing FC: downloading and creating CDs, the initial installation process, and final setup. Fedora Core comes as a series of three ISO files, each about 650 MB in size. After downloading and verifying the files, you'll want to put them onto CDs. Most every version of Windows comes with CD-burning software, so I won't belabor that process here. It's not quite as straightforward on a Linux box, though, so I'll provide explicit details for creating CDs with Linux.
Once you've got your three CDs, it's time to install. The first CD is bootable, so, assuming that your machine can boot from a CD, you just stick it in and restart the machine. A wizard starts, first offering to check the CDs for errors, and then guiding you through about 16 screens that allow you to configure your machine and set up preferences. Most of these screens can be navigated simply by clicking "Next", as the wizard will detect and display the appropriate choice for you.
After completing the wizard, the installation starts, and you'll be prompted to insert CD #2 and #3 when necessary. Once all the files have been transferred and the system has been installed, the machine will restart and you'll spend a few more minutes making a few last tweaks and choosing settings. Upon completion, you've got a Linux box ready to go.

System is engaged when A/C switch on control panel is pressed. See Fig. 1. Pressure switch on accumulator cycles compressor clutch on and off. Blower fan speed is controlled by sliding switch on lower left of A/C-heater control panel.
Airflow modes are controlled by center knob on A/C-heater control panel. Mode doors are controlled by cables on left side of climate control unit. See Fig. 2. Temperature blend (air mix) doors, located on driver and passenger side respectively, is selected by left or right knob on A/C-heater control panel. Doors are controlled by cables on left side and center of climate control unit.
Fresh/recirculated air is selected by switch to lower right of mode knob on A/C-heater control panel. Door is controlled by recirculation motor on upper half of climate control unit. Air conditioning system will only operate above 32 £ F (0 £ C). Blower switch must be in position "1" or higher to engage compressor.
A/C compressor is connected in series with the low-pressure switch, high-pressure switch, and safety switch. The high-pressure and safety switch cut power to the A/C compressor if pressure in the A/C high-pressure circuit becomes excessive, supplying a signal to ECM to start cooling fan. Low-pressure switch (pressostat) turns A/C compressor on and off to maintain pressure within limits.
