Queen’s Wifi Pilot User Guide ManualIntroduction An encrypted wireless network service has been implemented to offer users with their own laptops access to the University’s computer network. The service uses your QUB username and password for authentication. In order to protect your details, and the University network, the service will require you to install wireless client software on your machine. Queen’s has purchased a set number of licences so we need to record your email and staff/student number. You can still use your laptop on other networks, but you will need to disable the client software first. Once connected, you can browse the World Wide Web, and hence access your on- campus file store, and send and receive email.
Use of the service is governed by the policies as set out at:

There may be short interruptions when new configurations are installed and when temporary equipment is being upgraded. This wireless facility is in addition to the previous wireless service (through a remote server) and the laptop lending service. These are both still available in the Main and Science Libraries.

This means the engine will not start even when the registered key is turned to the START position: • When the key comes into contact with a metallic or magnetic object. • When the key comes into contact with another immobilizing key, or with some other transponder. In case like these, the theft-alarm indicator (located in the instrument cluster) will blink after 10 seconds. The theft-alarm indicator will flash for approximately 30 seconds and then go off. Remove the above object from the key and turn the key back to the ACC or LOCK position. Then try again to start the engine.
If the engine does not start, consult an authorized dealer. 2. Since there is a transponder built into the key, be careful not to cause shock to the key, such as by dropping it or by putting heavy objects on top of it. 3. Do not leave the key where it may be exposed to heat caused by the high temperature and high humidity. 4. Sentry key is not compatible with remote starting systems. Use of these systems may result in vehicle starting problems and a loss of security protection. 5. A system failure is suspected when the ignition key is turned to the START position, the engine does not start. In such a case, consult an authorized dealer.
