Installing Ubuntu Linux “Feisty Fawn” Server Version 7.04 ScreenshotWe want you to install Ubuntu and set up the network manually entering in your fixed IP address, your correct host name and domain. In addition we will manually partition your file system. We will still create the same file system as you would get with an automated install, but in the real world you may need to understand how to create your own file system layout. After the Initial Install We will install the Ubuntu Desktop meta package (Gnome 2.18 and Xorg) as well as properly configure this to work with your particular hardware by installing the xserverxorgvideo intel package.
Before we do this we’ll do a number of other exercises as well. You will specify a user name and password of your choosing. One of the exercises will include creating a user named “admin” and a password we’ll specify in class. If you have questions during installation ask your instructor or an assistant. Installing Ubuntu Step 7 If you can press “Cancel” in time please do so, otherwise see the screen in Step 8 and choose to “Go Back” to manually configure your network. Step 14 The hostname is what you should have on your first page of this installation guide. And, remember to use lowercase characters. Step 16 Your machines likely already have partitions on them. If this is the case you need to delete each individual partition first, then you can create partitions. That the language is designed to accommodate the computer, first and foremost. That therefore, we, the coders, are foreigners, seeking citizenship in the computer’s locale. It’s the computer’s language and we are translators for the world. But what do you call the language when your brain begins to think in that language? When you start to use the language’s own words and colloquialisms to express yourself—Say, the computer can’t do that. How can it be the computer’s language? It is ours, we speak it natively! We can no longer truthfully call it a computer language. It is coderspeak.
It is the language of our thoughts. Read the following aloud to yourself. 5.times { print “Odelay!” } In English sentences, punctuation (such as periods, exclamations, parentheses) are silent. Punctuation adds meaning to words, helps give cues as to what the author intended by a sentence. So let’s read the above as: Five times print “Odelay!”. Which is exactly what this small Ruby program does. Beck’s mutated Spanish exclamation will print five times on the computer screen. Read the following aloud to yourself. exit unless “restaurant”.include? “aura” Here we’re doing a basic reality check. Our program will exit (the program will end) unless the word restaurant contains (or includes ) the word aura . Again, in English: Exit unless the word restaurant includes the word aura.
Download Guide to Ruby TutorialAspira - How to update users or client dataThe ASPIRA Association web site provides its users the capability to create “virtual communities” which allows interaction among like-minded individuals. The building block for establishing this interactivity are called “groups”.
What are groups and what function they have?
Groups are a collection of users who can share access to protected resources and tools. A group enables users with permissions (ASPIRA Staff members) to create and manage their own groups. ASPIRA Official groups are created by the webmaster, which has special permissions including the ability to delete the group the owner created.
Group members or subscribers communicate amongst themselves using the group home page as a focal point. They do so by posting the usual content types: blog, story, web page, etc.; or by communicating via e-mail, chats, and they can also share documents. A block or menu is shown on the group home page that links to these group specific posts and actions. The block also provides summary information about the group.
Groups membership may be selective or not. ASPIRA official groups are selective groups which require approval by the group administrator in order to become a member. This feature makes our groups and our members to interact on a safe environment. In order to allow an individual to belong “subscribe” to a group is by inserting a group code on his/her registration profile. ASPIRA groups are private groups which will not be displayed in a list of groups which can be viewed by non-ASPIRA members.

The good news is that they will get significantly faster, but the bad news is that you won’t see all of the possible performance gains unless you write your application to take advantage of them. Over the last few years the increase in clock speeds has slowed down, and chip manufacturers are focussing more and more on concurrent execution of code. Hyperthreading was the first step, which allows a single processor core to execute two threads in parallel, but the future is multi-core chips which will allow many threads to execute truly independently. Intel is already talking about chips with over a hundred cores, so if your code is single-threaded you may only be using one hundredth of the available processing power!
This Charteris White Paper introduces the fundamentals that will allow you to begin writing concurrent applications, and is intended to be easier to read than much of the material on this subject. It is targeted at developers who have some experience of developing on the .NET Framework, and ideally in C# as this is my language of choice for the code samples. No prior knowledge of concurrent programming or multi-threading is needed, though even experienced developers in this area may find some new and surprising information.
The first section of this paper provides background information about threads, fibers, the thread pool asynchronous methods and events particularly with respectInstalling SDE For Visual Studio .NETInstalling Smart Development Environment for Visual Studio Installing SDE-VS (Smart Development Environment for Visual Studio) is an easy task. However, there do have things that you should be aware of. For example, about the relationship between SDE-VS and Visual Paradigm Suite, and how to import a valid license key. This chapter will show you how to get SDE-VS started from downloading to running the application. Here are the covered topics:
• Downloading Visual Paradigm Suite from the Internet
• Installing Visual Paradigm Suite and SDE-VS
• Start the application
• Importing a valid license key
Downloading Visual Paradigm Suite
There is no separate installer made for SDE-VS. In order to install SDE-VS, you must download and install Visual Paradigm Suite, an application suite that includes all the Visual Paradigm products, and install SDE-VS from the suite. To download Visual Paradigm Suite:
1. Visit Visual Paradigm's official download site at: http://www.visual-paradigm.com/download/
2. Click on the image for Visual Paradigm Suite.

The water-jet is only capable of 2D cutting operations, and has extremely limited control of the depth of the cut so work should be designed with 2D lines and with the intention that the lines will be cut completely through the material – not etched. Depending on the hardness of the material it is possible to etch or score a cut instead of cutting all the way through, but this should only be done with ductile materials as it will cause shattering or breaking in more brittle materials.
2D File Creation
1) The FlowPATH software will only accept 2D geometry, and it works best with lines and arcs, splines may cause some problems. The lines can be made in any 2D application capable of exporting DXF files; possible applications are Maya, 3dMax, Rhino, AutoCAD, Illustrator and VectorWorks. If your model is made of surfaces or polygons it is necessary to duplicate the edges of the objects to make 2D lines, you cannot use the surface geometry directly for water-jet cutting. Objects and parts should be made at full-scale, the limits of the bed size are 40” x 20”. Pieces should also be on the XY plane with the Z axis up.
2) Once you have suitable geometry created in a 3D application you must export it as DXF. When exporting you should save as Release 12 (R12) format, this formatMicrosoft Dynamics GP Analysis Cubes (Microsoft SQL Server™ 2005)This manual is designed to give you an understanding of how to install, configure, customize, and use Analysis Cubes.
