BRL-CAD Tutorial Series: Volume II – Introduction to MGEDLaunching the MGED Program To launch the MGED program, type mged at the Terminal (tty) prompt and then press the ENTER key. This brings up two main windows: the MGED Command Window and the MGED Graphics Window (sometimes called the Geometry Window). Both windows will initially be blank, awaiting input from you. To leave the program at any time, at the Command Line type either the letter q or the word quit and then press the ENTER key.
2. Entering Commands in the Command Window You can type in commands at the mged> prompt. Many experienced UNIX users prefer this method because it allows them to quickly create a model (which we sometimes refer to as a “design”) without having to point and click on a lot of options. The complete listing of editing commands and what they do can be found in Appendix A. If sphere.g already exists, MGED will open the sphere.g database as the program is launched. 5. Using the GUI to Open or Create a Database Alternatively, once you have launched MGED, you can open an existing database or create a new database using the GUI menus (at the top of the Command or Graphics Window) by clicking on File and then either Open or New. Both options bring up a small dialog box. The Open dialog box will ask you to type in the name of an existing database. The New dialog box will ask you to type in the name of a new database. Depending on which port(s) your computer has, you can connect the GT 050Q in a number of ways. You’re probably already familiar with FireWire 400 and USB, so we’ll tell you a little about FireWire 800 and eSATA.
FireWire 800 Facts
• FireWire 800 supports speeds up to 800 Mb/sec, twice as fast as FireWire 400.
• If your computer does not have built-in FireWire 800, you'll need a PCI card to achieve a true FireWire 800 connection.
• Most 800 ports are Bi-Lingual, which means they speak both FireWire 400 and FireWire 800.
• If you connect a 400 device to an 800 device, you will be running at 400 speed maximum.
• FireWire is forward-compatible and back-compatible, but the bus always runs at the speed of the slowest link.
• Beta cables are used to connect 800 devices to 800 devices.
• Bi-Lingual cables are available to connect 400 devices to 800 devices.
• Bi-Lingual cables have a 9-pin Bi-Lingual connector at one end and a 4-pin or 6-pin FireWire 400 connector at the other end
eSATA Facts
• eSATA is an external interface technology that grew from the internal SATA I interface.
• The GT 050Q’s eSATA port supports speeds up to 1.5 Gb/sec (150 MB/sec), much faster than FireWire 400 or FireWire 800.
• Shielded eSATA cables up to 2 meters in length are available.
• eSATA cables are different than SATA I cables, they are shielded and cannotWeatherLink Macintosh OS X Version ManualThe Weather-link software and data logger allow you to connect your Apple Macintosh com-puter running OS X to a Davis weather station so you can store, view, plot, analyze, export, print, and put on the Internet the weather data collected by your station. We loved the new Z's great design, performance, and outstanding value. Last year, Nissan made us more happy with a brilliant new 350Z roadster. For 2005, there's a 35th-anniversary edition to mark the debut of the original 240Z in 1970. Otherwise, there are only some refinements that make this good car better, such as downshift rev matching for the five-speed automatic transmission that makes better use of the spirited 287-hp, 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 engine. To maximize performance, go with the close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox-and no more trembling left legs, as clutch-pedal effort has been reduced. Other upgrades include a quicker nav system, heated outside mirrors, and a standard tire-pressure monitoring system.
I could feel my heart pounding faster. Just two more cars to go before it was my turn—a Ford GT and an Aston Martin DB9. The engine used is practically the same with the old one and the gameplay is identical so the hardcore fans only had a few hours to dissect the single-player campaign and it’s a known fact that it’s played even today across the globe. Not many games can take pride in having such a long life span. Yuri’s Revenge doesn’t have any cheats but we can provide a reasonable amount of gameplay hints: Free Brutes: You will need a Genetic Mutator and Slave Miners. Use the Genetic Mutator to mutate Slaves into Brutes.
Because Slaves are free, your Brutes will also be free. Eliminating an enemy base: Make sure you have a Cloning Vat built before attempting this trick. Build the Yuri Prime. Since you now have two, take them to an enemy base and systematically take over the base. If they have a Prism Tower (Telsa or Gatling Cannon) and it is too far in the base to capture, just take over their power plants and sell them. You can take out any base with this tactic. This trick will only work with the Allies and Soviets. Build 2 Flak Tracks or 10 IFVs. Put as many engineers as possible in each (10 engineers). Build some Rhino Tanks, Tesla Tanks, or Apocalypse Tanks for the Soviets. For the Allies, build a couple of Grizzly Tanks, Mirage Tanks, and some PrismMeridian Digital Telephones and Options M2006 M2008/M2008HF M2616 M2216ACD M2016S Secure Set Quick GuideYour telephone system administrator assigns features to your feature keys, and provides you with passwords and other codes as required. Return to theManaging Multi-language and Multi-platform Microsoft Visual Studio Builds With OpenMake MeisterWith each new major release of Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft changes the languages and methodologies for building executables from the source created within an application. Without the assistance of simplification tools, then, development teams integrating Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 must re-write and redesign significant amounts of their application build processes. But, such an endeavor proves so costly and time-consuming that many enterprises choose to delay or omit upgrades to their development environments. Unfortunately, avoidance will quickly create a situation where new applications are written in the new Visual Studio but without compatibility to the vast amount of programs and systems that were developed in older versions.
Opportunity
To overcome this development limitation, OpenMake, a CA partner that specializes in Build Management, worked closely with Microsoft on the new Visual Studio 2008 and created a process where Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 code can be easily integrated with code created in the newer release. This unique process bridges the technology gap between the two Microsoft development environments and provides a simple method for programmers to integrate all of their existing applications with new applications written in Visual Studio 2008.
And, the technology is so innovative and complete that even developers using MS Visual Studio 97, MS Visual Studio 6.0 and MS Visual Studio .Net 2002 and 2003 can integrate to MS Visual Studio 2008. As such, it allows you to continue to use the large code base already developed in a single integrated environment and with automated and continuous integrationCompiling Eclipse Applications for Windows With GCJ/MinGWIn this document, we examine the creation of native (Windows) executables for Eclipse applications (not for Eclipse itself). While we have concentrated on Windows aspects, the equivalent systems should work without any difficulty on Linux. We will eventually test the generation of native Linux executables.
The advantage of compiled Eclipse application executables is that they do not require the JRE, they are self-contained except for the one swt dll. The applications can be distributed in zip format and can be moved around on a machine without requiring changes to the registry (there is no information saved in the Windows registry).
GCC and MinGW:
To compile Java applications to run on Windows, download the MinGW build of GCC/GCJ 3.3 for win32 from http://www.thisiscool.com/gcc_mingw.htm. This build uses a slightly older version of Eclipse (Eclipse 2.0.2) but it worked without any problems on the applications that we tested. This build includes a build of the SWT libraries so that the entire Eclipse application can be compiled. (The Swing libraries have not yet been ported to GCC/GCJ.) Special thanks are due to Mohan Embar and Ranjit Mathew for their work in building this win32 version.
