With Premium Maintenance, more maintenance items are regularly checked or replaced than with either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 maintenance schedules. Using the Premium Maintenance schedule may optimize the performance, reliability, and resale value of your vehicle. SCHEDULE 1 (Every 3,750 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first) Schedule 1 features the same 3,750-mile service intervals as Premium Maintenance; however, with Schedule 1 fewer maintenance items are regularly checked or replaced than with the Premium Maintenance schedule. Use Schedule 1 if you primarily operate your vehicle under any of these conditions: Repeated short trips of less than 5 miles in normal temperatures or less than 10 miles in freezing temperatures Stop-and-go traffic in hot weather or low-speed driving for long distances.

DO NOT try to run the vehicle at full throttle at sea level altitude with a supercharger unless the fuel tank is filled with good 91-octane fuel. The Focus Midget engine is equipped with an opposite rotation water pump impeller, and the water pump pulley turns in the opposite direction when compared to the street version of the engine. This does not reverse the coolant flow through the engine, it simply allows the pulley to be driven with the HTD belt instead of using the back-side of a serpentine belt. No modifications to the water pump impeller or water pump pulley are allowed. This photo shows a typical “burp tank” installation.

Under racing conditions, the engine in the BMW E36 M3 may “starve” for fuel when the amount of gasoline in its tanks falls below a certain level. This Application Guide details the installation of twin fuel pumps on a 1995 M3 Lightweight to alleviate this problem. The E36 3 series1 uses a molded one-piece plastic fuel tank under the rear passenger seats. A small passage over the driveshaft connects the two tank halves. Fuel is added through the filler pipe.
