The concept was further elaborated in the article “ What is Web 2.0 Design Patterns and Business Models for the Next Generation of Software” published by Tim O’Reilly in 2005. Generally, Web 2.0 denotes the paradigm of employing the Web as the platform to deliver and use software. Nevertheless, what user experiences, design patterns and technologies Web 2.0 actually encompasses are not concretely bound and they keep evolving. As described in Wikipedia, “Given the lack of set standards as to what ‘Web 2.0’ actually means, implies, or requires, the term can mean radically different things to different people.”
In this paper, Web 2.0 is defined as the innovative use of the World Wide Web to expand social and business outreach to and exploit collective intelligence from the community. The features of Web 2.0 from the user behavior and software design perspectives are discussed. A high level technical architecture to support Web 2.0 features is also covered. Finally, the limitations of current technologies are discussed in order to analyze the new technology development in the Web 2.0 model.
Web 2.0 advocates the Web architecture that promotes users’ participation and collaboration. Web 2.0 becomes the platform for users to share, contribute, review and enhance information resources. Flickr and YouTube provide virtually unlimited media repositories for users to share photos and videos respectively. Download PDF3D Quick Start Guide: 3ds max to Director 8.5 Shockwave StudioThis 3D Quick Start Guide is designed for the multimedia designer who is new to the 3D capabilities of Director® Shockwave® Studio and the 3D artist/animator who is unfamiliar with Director® 8.5 Shockwave® Studio. Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive.
The tutorial begins with 3D creation tips and tricks for preparing the character mesh, skinning it onto the Biped® skeleton using Physique® and animating the character. Both Biped and Physique are character studio features. It then discusses the 3ds max Shockwave Exporter to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio in the "Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio Environment" options and what happens when youThinkPad® R50 Series Service and Troubleshooting Guide ManualSolving computer problems Diagnosing problems Troubleshooting Error messages Errors without messages A password problem A power switch problem Keyboard problems UltraNav problems Standby or hibernation problems Computer screen problems Battery problems Hard disk drive problems A startup problem Fingerprint authentication problems Other problems Starting BIOS Setup Utility Recovering pre-installed software..

1. an Authoring application
2. a Behavioral Engine (CK2)
3. a Rendering Engine
4. a Web Player
5. a Software Development Kit (SDK)
An Authoring Application Virtools Dev is an authoring application that allows you to quickly and easily create compositions (CMOs) full of rich, interactive, 3D content. Industry stan- dard media such as models, animations, images and sounds are brought to life by Virtools’ behavior technologies. You cannot create models in Virtools Dev; Virtools Dev is not a modeling application. However, simple elements such as Cameras, Lights, Curves, inter- face elements, and 3D Frames (called dummies or helpers in most 3D model- ing applications) can be created with the click of an icon.

Within the pages of this guide, you will find information you need to use and learn PCLinuxOS presented in easy to understand terms and without a lot of geek-speak. You may even find some of it rather humorous. PCLinuxOS is what’s called an operating system. When you start your computer, some software must start working otherwise nothing would happen. Your mouse and keyboard should be enabled; you most likely would want to have access to your personal files, and start other programs.
All these activities are done by software called an operating system. Most likely you are already familiar with the operating system called Windows.

The proof of concept shows that SQL Server 2005 can deliver the same or better results for a high-performance enterprise-class data warehouse than the more-costly alternatives.
We delivered an optimized data warehouse solution using SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2005 Integration Services, and SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on a Unisys ES7000/one Enterprise Server with x64 processors. We conducted a series of tests for extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) operations and online analytical processing (OLAP) cube building. These tests measured throughput, scalability, and performance as the amount of data and execution parallelism were increased. SQL Server 2005 demonstrated the ability to use all available CPUs and memory for both the bulk data load and cube processing testing. In this proof of concept we outperformed the direct competition (Oracle-based solutions) by at least 45 percent. The test results documented in this paper prove that the SQL Server 2005 suite running on the Unisys ES7000 server can take advantage of parallelism and multiple processors to deliver extremely high rates of ETL and OLAP cube processing throughputs. Our team of 12 specialists from Unisys, Microsoft (U.S. and Germany), and Platon implemented this fully-functional data warehouse in less than three weeks.

Be careful that the new versions (Apache 2 and tomcat 4) needs some particular changes. I will try to integrate them, but for now, check the Chapter 5 at the end of this document ! Besides, consider using Tomcat stand-alone : if it is fast enough, don't loose your time until the connector configuration is more stable. Enventually consider RESIN ($500) [http://www.caucho.com/] or Orion ($1500) [http://www.orionserver.com/], whish are much cheaper than the well known BEA WebLogic or IBM WebServer.
The 4.0.4 version of Tomcat is very new. I tested it on Windows but still not on Linux. Besides, which WARP Con- nector version to use is not clear. The main problem is to make Apache and TomCat work together. This is done through the WebApp connector, which installation is not trivial.
This can be done with the APJ connector (mod_jk or mod_fk2) too (and Coyote ?). But we will not be treat this here. It is a more "traditional" solution. I didn't find a lot of information which compared the APJ and WARP con- nectors, but from the little I have read, the WARP one seemed the best. (At least, I saw this note on the Jakarta Web site : [Using the WARP connector is recommended on platforms on which it is available .])
