23 January 2007 By: Bogdan Solca, Hardware Editor Intel CPU Overclocked at 8GHz! Extreme overclocking techniques from Italy OC Team Italy announced that it managed to unpack a Pentium 4 631 CPU and overclock it to a whooping 7520 Mhz, back on January 10th 2007. This risky procedure required some liquid nitrogen cooling, as well as a non-modified ASUS P5B motherboard. The Italia pointed out that the motherboard made it clear that it cannot go above this core frequency. The guys got impressive feedback from the overclocke' community and thought they could break the 8GHz barrier. Thus, they have once again mounted the copper cooling pipe, tuned up the necessary voltage settings and poured a fresh supply of liquid nitrogen. The result? An outstanding 8001MHz core clock reported by CPU-Z. For the fit attempt, OC Team Italy also used a 1, 7 core voltage (1,6 real voltage with an steep drop), 2x1Gb Cellshock PC8000 memory kit and a 1Kw power supply

While we have concentrated on Windows aspects, the equivalent systems should work without any difficulty on Linux. We will eventually test the generation of native Linux executables.
The advantage of compiled Eclipse application executables is that they do not require the JRE, they are self-contained except for the one swt dll. The applications can be distributed in zip format and can be moved around on a machine without requiring changes to the registry (there is no information saved in the Windows registry).
GCC and MinGW:
To compile Java applications to run on Windows, download the MinGW build of GCC/GCJ 3.3 for win32 from http://www.thisiscool.com/gcc_mingw.htm. This build uses a slightly older version of Eclipse (Eclipse 2.0.2) but it worked without any problems on the applications that we tested. This build includes a build of the SWT libraries so that the entire Eclipse application can be compiled. (The Swing libraries have not yet been ported to GCC/GCJ.) Special thanks are due to Mohan Embar and Ranjit Mathew for their work in building this win32 version.

Your ThinkPad modem is a worldwide modem and can be used in any country where Postal Telegraph and Telephone (PTT) type approval has been obtained. If the country you want is not on the Country Selection listing, see http://www.ibm.com/thinkpad on the Internet, and download the newest Country Selection list. If you are a non-U.S. user, run the Country Selection program in the ThinkPad Modem folder after you complete the ThinkPad modem installation.
The “Country Selection” window enables you to change the country name to that of the country in which you are actually going to use the ThinkPad modem telephony function in. Click on ThinkPad Modem in your operating system; then click on Country Selection. Confirm whether the selection matches the country name in the Dialing Properties listing (for Windows 98 and Windows 95). For more information on the use of the internal modem in a specific country, contact the IBM customer support center in that country. You can look up the phone number by referring to the international service information booklet that came with your computer. This document assumes that you already have a running graphical web browser, such as Netscape Navigator, on your system. You should have permission to use your graphical web browser. If you want to use Netscape Navigator in a commercial setting, you can buy a copy with appropriate license through Caldera.

Linguistic Library makes it possible to add linguistic services like spell checkers and hyphenation services to Adobe products, through the Linguistic Library API.
Linguistic Library is not a shrink-wrapped product. Instead, it provides common linguistic services for many Adobe products; thus, it is an important component of these products.
Linguistic Library has an extensible architecture. You can extend the functionality of Linguistic Library to provide customized linguistic services by implementing plug-ins for it. The advantage of implementing plug-ins through Linguistic Library is that these additional lin- guistic services are available to all Adobe products automatically if they use Linguistic Library. To provide services through individual product extensions, you would have to write programs against every product API.
The intended audience for this document is developers with a basic understanding of Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) technology and Apple’s CFPlug-in API (since the Linguistic Library plug-in architecture is based on these technologies).
Terminology
The following terms are used in this document:
Client application — An Adobe application that uses linguistics services provided by Lin- guistic Library.
Lilo — Shorthand for Adobe Linguistic Library, used in some interface names and folder names.
Plug-in — Except where explicitly specified, “plug-ins” in this document refers to Linguistic Library plug-ins that extend Linguistic Library and provide additional, customized linguis- tic services.
— The location of the Linguistic Library plug-ins folder, On Mac OS®, this is /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/Providers/Plugins. On Windows®, this is C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeLinguisticsProvidersPlugins.

Not only did the book quickly become a bestseller and the movie staring Tom Hanks got on the lips of all people, but also the gaming industry benefited from this. Such a plot was bound to create the setting for an entertaining adventure. The only difference between the game’s storyline and the book and movie is the absence of the Oscar winner actor Tom Hanks. The game also brings some additional content (you’ll have a small puzzling surprise even if you enter the official site, not to mention the game) to the story to pad up the adventure.
Although the variety of the puzzles is satisfactory, The Da Vinci Code can’t really be considered a must have adventure game, but the soundtrack surely makes you believe that. For those of you that already got the game, don’t worry, it will prove an appealing experience and if by any chance you need a little help, check up on the following cheats. The developers thought of it all and made your little cheating get a little easier than usually. All you need to do is choose “Codes” from the “Options” menu and then enter the desired code. By using a simple pattern, you can use NetAdvantage for ASP.NET to target this powerful platform. In this guide, you will learn the key steps necessary to get started in building your own custom web part.
An Introduction to SharePoint
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) is a powerful web-based portal package that promotes communication and collaboration with-in an organization. MOSS can be used to quickly build web applications, through the Web Parts Framework. Web Parts themselves, are packaged components that when added to a page can provide functional pieces of an application such as data visualization, or data entry.
SharePoint Requirements
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server WebPart pages require a component to derive from a common WebPart base class. The NetAdvantage for ASP.NET controls derive from the core ASP.NET base class, WebControl. Because of this incongruity, NetAdvantage for ASP.NET controls cannot be added directly to a WebParts page.
Getting Started with NetAdvantage for ASP.NET and SharePoint
Wrapping a WebControl into a composite WebPart enables you to bring your typical ASP.NET controls into the world of SharePoint WebParts pages. Composite WebParts, which are typically simple shells which host child WebControls, bring the functionality and reusability of standard WebControls into the modular and personalizable WebPart framework. In this manner, it is quite a simple exercise to create a WebPart shell around one or more NetAdvantage for ASP.NET web controls. Based on your needs, you can make your wrapper as simple or advanced as necessary. It was originally developed to execute models written in STELLA® more quickly. Over time, we added our own unique features which have made Berkeley Madonna into a fast, self-contained, and easy-to-use modeling tool. Berkeley Madonna is available for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. While these versions are mostly identical, there are some differences which are noted throughout this guide with the notation [Macintosh] or [Windows].
