  • Handling the cord on this product, or cords associated with accessories sold with this product, will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash your hands after handling the cord. Safety: When Using Your Battery Charger Observe the following safe-handling guidelines to prevent damage to your battery charger: • When setting up the battery charger, place it on a level surface. • Protect your battery charger from environmental hazards such as dirt, dust, food, liquids, temperature extremes, and overexposure to sunlight. • When you disconnect a cable, pull on its connector or on its strain-relief loop, not on the cable itself. As you pull out the connector, keep it evenly aligned to avoid bending any connector pins. Also, before you connect a cable make sure both connectors are correctly oriented and aligned. Safety: Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge Static electricity can harm electronic components inside your battery charger. To prevent static damage, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of your battery charger’s electronic components such as connectors. • Writing Secure ASP Scripts
  • This paper briefly describes several common classes of coding error generally encountered when auditing web applications running on the Active Server Pages (ASP) platform. The paper is broken down into three broad sections, each of which addresses several common coding problems. The following is a list of the common errors that are discussed in this document, divided into three broad categories. The remainder of the document deals with each of these problems in turn. Any ASP code samples assume that the default language is VBScript, but all of the points apply equally to JavaScript. Equally, all occurrences of the SQL language assume that Microsoft SQL Server is being used as the back – end database. Input validation Insufficient validation of fields in SQL queries Email handling problems Parent path problems Predictability and secure management of state Poor randomness Predictable session identifiers Session state manipulation bugs Poor credential management Source maintenance problems Improper source and data file maintenance Debug code Hardcoded credentials Error messages/error handling Classes of problem Input validation Input validation errors are probably the most common form of problem encountered when auditing ASP applications. Three of the most common classes of input validation error are: Insufficient validation of fields in SQL queries Email handling problems Parent path problems We will address each of these classes of error in turn. • Matching Schemas in Online Communities: A Web 2.0 Approach
  • When integrating data from multiple sources, a key task that online communities often face is to match the schemas of the data sources. Today, such matching often incurs a huge workload that overwhelms the relatively small set of volunteer integrators. In such cases, community members may not even volunteer to be integrators, due to the high workload, and consequently no integration systems can be built. To address this problem, we propose to enlist the multitude of users in the community to help match the schemas, in a Web 2.0 fashion. We discuss the challenges of this approach and provide initial solutions. Finally, we describe an extensive set of experiments on both real-world and synthetic data that demonstrate the utility of the approach. The World-Wide Web is teeming with communities, such as those of movie fans, database researchers, bioinformatists, intelligence analysts, and so on. As such communities proliferate, research on their data management challenges has attracted increasing attention. A key challenge is to integrate data from multiple community-related sources. For example, the community of real estate agents in the Great Lakes region may want to build a system that integrates all real-estate sources in that area. As another example, the database community may want to integrate all information about publications, from DBLP, Google Scholar, and researchers’ homepages, among others. Today, integrating such data within a community is largely shouldered by a relatively small set of volunteers, henceforth called builders. To integrate the data, a key task that builders often face is to establish
  • Introduction to Photoshop Tutorial Supplement
  • We’ll briefly demonstrate a very simple example of Photoshop’s ability to create interesting images entirely from scratch, rather than merely editing existing image material. We’ll be creating a colorized lightning bolt. First, create a new image. Make it 800 x 600 pixels in size, at 72 pixels/inch (recall this is the resolution of a monitor), and make the background contents transparent. Make sure the color mode is RGB. We’ll now apply a filter to our image which will turn our gradient into a cloudy image, but with a faint hint of a lightning bolt running across the center. Go to Filter ? Render ? Difference Clouds The lightning bolt isn’t particularly visible, so we’re going to do a few edits. Go to Image ? Adjustments ? Levels, and then drag the middle slider to the left and right until the lightning bolt in the center becomes more pronounced. Download pdf Introduction to Photoshop Tutorial Supplement

  • This body lift kit should only be installed on vehicles in good working condition. Before installation, the vehicle should be thoroughly inspected for evidence of corrosion or deformation of the sheet metal around the factory body mounts. This body lift kit should not be installed on any vehicle that is suspected to have been in a collision or misused. Off road use of your vehicle with this body lift installed may increase the stress applied to the factory body mounts. We do not recommend that any vehicle with a body lift installed be involved in any extreme off road maneuvers such as jumping. Failure to observe this warning may result in serious personal injury and/or severe damage to your vehicle. WARNING Many states now have laws restricting bumper heights and vehicle lifts. Local laws should be consulted to determine if the changes you intend to make to your vehicle comply with state laws. Before combining a body lift with a suspension lift, consult an installation professional to see how this will affect your specific application. WARNING The installation of larger wheel and tire combinations may reduce the effectiveness of the Anti-lock Braking System. • Graphical Interfaces for C#
  • This paper is focused on a pure implementation task rather than in explanation of a general theory or specific graphical algorithms. However, the described solution seems to be interesting and useful to people within a computer graphics community. The reason is simple: there are many people using the OpenGL, Visualization Toolkit [1] (VTK) or DirectX, who want to benefit from .NET Framework features. Simply, it is a runtime environment, which hides the operating system layer to the application and unifies single machine and network environments into one (see [2]). Later, we will describe what a .NET Framework stands for in more detail. The .NET Framework seemed to be very interesting for people from the area of computer graphics that we decided to implement some of the well-known graphical interfaces in it. The VTK, OpenGL and DirectX have been taken into account. These interfaces are widespread and having them prepared in the .NET Framework, it is easy to extend our old working algorithms with new features and functionality. For example, a developer used to write a code for OpenGL can simply continue with a development with it, build it in .NET Framework and easily add whatever other network functionality he wants. We have implemented the VTK, OpenGL and DirectX interfaces for use within the .NET Framework. It fulfills well our objectives given at the early beginning. Now, graphics developers can also work with the fully object oriented programming (OOP) language C#. It allows more inheritance, deriving and polymorphism into the computer graphics. Download pdf
