  • Most 17” wheels will clear the outer diameter of the caliper. Wheel weights mounted on the inside of the wheel may need to be repositioned. The more critical clearance is the spokes of the wheel to the outer face of the caliper. Do not assume an 18, 19 or even 20 inch wheel will clear the outer face of the caliper. A minimum distance of 60.81mm, measured from the outer rotor face to the inside face of the wheel spokes. This is the net metal-to-metal measurement. We recommend at least 2mm additional clearance to clear the ST-40 caliper on our big brake kits. Please refer to the Wheel Fitment section of our website to confirm any wheel fitment issues. Final fitment of the wheel to the caliper is the responsibility of the customer. Wheel Spacers Wheel spacers can provide extra clearance to the outer face of the caliper. This will also space out the entire wheel, widening the track width of the vehicle. Basic suspension settings will generally not be adversely affected by a slight widening (up to 3mm per side) of the track. Fender clearances should be checked on lowered cars, and longer lug studs or wheel bolts may be required. It is the responsibility of the customer to insure wheel spacers are properly specified and installed.   • This is a literature review on neural networks and related algorithms. It is aimed to get a general understanding on neural networks and find out the possible applications of these models in information retrieval (IR) systems. Beginning with a preliminary definition and typical structure of neural networks, neural networks are studied with respect to their learning processes and architecture structures. A case study on some specific networks and related algorithms is followed. The applications of some neural network models and related algorithms in information retrieval systems are then investigated. Problems on applying neural network models into IR systems are finally summarized in the conclusion. Neural network is one of the important components in Artificial Intelligence (AI). It has been studied for many years in the hope of achieving human-like performance in many fields, such as speech and image recognition as well as information retrieval. To make the term 'neural network' used in this paper clear and to expand considerably on its content, it is useful to give a definition to this term, analyze the general structure of a neural network, and explore the advantages of neural network models first. In his book (1990), Miller have found that "Neural networks are also called neural nets, connectionist models, collective models, parallel distributed processing models, neuromorphic systems, and artificial neural networks by various researchers (p.1-4)." Similarly, in his article (1987), Lippmann states, "artificial neural net models or simple 'neural nets' go by many names such as connectionist models, parallel distributed processing models, and neuromorphic systems (p.4)."

  • Having authenticated with WebAuth using an SSO username and password, the PHP script is executed. As you can see, the PHP script is passed a parameter which is the URL of a login page of a Rails application. The only thing the PHP script does is to redirect to that URL passing a parameter that is a base64 encoded string: https://www.abcd.ox.ac.uk:8113/apps/contacts/login?id=base64string The id parameter is the base64 encoded version of an encryption of the username and the current date and time. The login method of the Rails application looks at the id parameter, decodes it and then unencrypts it. So it now has the username and the date and time. In order to avoid replay attacks, the Rails application checks that the date and time refers to a recent date and time. It also checks that the username is in a list of valid usernames. If both these tests are passed, it sets a session variable (session[:user_id]) to "OK"; otherwise, it is set to "BAD". Having authenticated, subsequent methods of the Rails application are executed in the usual way, i.e., by using the URL of the method, e.g.: https://www.abcd.ox.ac.uk:8113/apps/contacts/add We need to alter the code of the controller of the Rails application so that it has a call of before_filter. This call can ensure that a method called authenticate is called before any method of the Rails application is called.   • To install PHP on an NT/2000/XP Server running IIS 4 or newer, follow these instructions. You have two options to set up PHP, using the CGI binary (php.exe in PHP 4, or php-cgi.exe in PHP 5) or with the ISAPI module. In either case, you need to start the Microsoft Management Console (may appear as 'Internet Services Manager', either in your Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack branch or the Control Panel=>Administrative Tools under Windows 2000/XP). Then right click on your Web server node (this will most probably appear as 'Default Web Server'), and select 'Properties'. If you want to use the CGI binary, do the following: • Under 'Home Directory', 'Virtual Directory', or 'Directory', click on the 'Configuration' button, and then enter the App Mappings tab. • Click Add, and in the Executable box, type: C:phpphp.exe for PHP 4 or C:phpphp-cgi.exe for PHP 5 (assuming that you have unziped PHP in c:php). • In the Extension box, type the file name extension you want associated with PHP scripts. Leave 'Method exclusions' blank, and check the 'Script engine' checkbox. You may also like to check the 'check that file exists' box - for a small performance penalty, IIS (or PWS) will check that the script file exists and sort out authentication before firing up PHP. This means that you will get sensible 404 style error messages instead of CGI errors complaining that PHP did not output any data.   • The first thing you need to do is jack up the car and remove the wheel. After you have done that, you will be left with this. Now the first step in removing the caliper is to take off the spring on the front side. You do it using some pliers. The yellow arrow shows the spring. The second pic shows the caliper with the spring removed. The next step is to remove the corks (red arrows) and unscrew the two 7mm alen (imbus) screws that hold the caliper. The screws are under the corks – pic2 To get the screws out, insert the 7mm alen key in and unscrew them out. This is how the screws looks like. The white arrow points where the other one is. When the screws are out, you need to disconnect the pad wear cable. It is on one of the sides of the car (HGT-both sides). Connector is circled red. After that is done, pull the caliper toward you by hand. Next step is to remove the pad wear cable from its holder on the caliper. After you remove it, it should dangle freely like this. Then pull off the caliper in the yellow arrow direction. After you have pulled the caliper off, you will be left with one pad on the caliper holder and one on the caliper piston.
