  • Peugeot 205 Service and Repair Manual
  • The Peugeot 205 was introduced in the UK in September 1983 as a five-door Hatchback with a transversely-mounted engine and transmission assembly driving the front wheels. The suspension is of front coil springs and rear transverse torsion bars. Three engine sizes were originally available, featuring a chain driven overhead camshaft design mounted directly over the transmission. The GTi was introduced in the Spring of 1984 and was fitted with a belt-driven overhead camshaft engine with a side-mounted transmission. The GTI engine is equipped with an electronically controlled fuel injection system. In October 1984 three-door versions became available, with an X series designation, in addition to the three-door GTI. Van versions were introduced in June 1985, together with the limited edition Lacoste, based on the GT version. In September 1985 the XT was introduced, being a three-door version of the GT, and at the same time the 954 cc XL three-door was introduced, having a higher specification than the XE. The 1580 cc Automatic was introduced in April 1986 at the same time as the Cabriolet CTI. The XS replaced the XT in July 1986, at which time the limited edition Junior, based on the XE, became available. The 1.9 GTI was introduced in August 1986, and at the same time dim-dip headlights and rear seat belts were fitted as standard. In December 1987 the new TU engines and MA transmissions were fitted to all except fuel injection, diesel and automatic models. Latest models feature single- and multi-point fuel injection, with

  • Avoiding Fuel Starvation in the BMW E36 M3 via the Installation of Twin Fuel Pumps Manual PDF
  • Under racing conditions, the engine in the BMW E36 M3 may “starve” for fuel when the amount of gasoline in its tanks falls below a certain level. This Application Guide details the installation of twin fuel pumps on a 1995 M3 Lightweight to alleviate this problem. The E36 3 series1 uses a molded one-piece plastic fuel tank under the rear passenger seats. A small passage over the driveshaft connects the two tank halves. Fuel is added through the filler pipe. Fuel is extracted from the right-hand-side2 (rhs) of the fuel tank via an in-tank fuel pump. The fuel passes through a filter and pressurizes the fuel rail, to which the injectors are attached. • Ford Sierra 4x4 Supplement Manual
  • The Ford supplied Sierra 4x4 Supplementary Workshop Manual is a "must have" for any owner of one of these cars. The biggest problem can be actually finding one to purchase. I got lucky and managed to get mine direct from a Ford dealer, brand new for ?8, who was having a clearout. They do appear regularly at autojumbles and it is just a case of keep looking. The manual only covers those items unique to the 4x4 Sierra’s and are to be used in conjunction with the Ford Sierra Workshop Manual. Ford never produced a supplement that covered the 2.9 engine or the later Mark Two model but all the running gear sections are relevant as this never changed during the life of the model. I believe there is also a supplement that covers the MT75 gearbox for the 2.9 models. I have included below some information and diagrams that maybe helpful to owners. • An Introduction to Programming with C# Threads
  • This paper provides an introduction to writing concurrent programs with “threads”. A threads facility allows you to write programs with multiple simultaneous points of execution, synchronizing through shared memory. The paper describes the basic thread and synchronization primitives, then for each primitive provides a tutorial on how to use it. The tutorial sections provide advice on the best ways to use the primitives, give warnings about what can go wrong and offer hints about how to avoid these pitfalls. The paper is aimed at experienced programmers who want to acquire practical expertise in writing concurrent programs. The programming language used is C#, but most of the tutorial applies equally well to other languages with thread support, such as Java. Almost every modern operating system or programming environment provides support for concurrent programming. The most popular mechanism for this is some provision for allowing multiple lightweight “threads” within a single address space, used from within a single program. Programming with threads introduces new difficulties even for experienced programmers. Concurrent programming has techniques and pitfalls that do not occur in sequential programming. Many of the techniques are obvious, but some are obvious only with hindsight. Some of the pitfalls
