  • Design Guidelines for Class Library Developers
  • The .NET Framework's managed environment allows developers to improve their programming model to support a wide range of functionality. The goal of the .NET Framework design guidelines is to encourage consistency and predictability in public APIs while enabling Web and cross- language integration. It is strongly recommended that you follow these design guidelines when developing classes and components that extend the .NET Framework. Inconsistent design adversely affects developer productivity. Development tools and add-ins can turn some of these guidelines into de facto prescriptive rules, and reduce the value of nonconforming components. Nonconforming components will function, but not to their full potential. These guidelines are intended to help class library designers understand the trade-offs between different solutions. There might be situations where good library design requires that you violate these design guidelines. Such cases should be rare, and it is important that you provide a solid justification for your decision. The section provides naming and usage guidelines for types in the .NET Framework as well as guidelines for implementing common design patterns. Relationship to the Common Type System and the Common Language Specification The Common Type System is the model that defines the rules the common language runtime follows when declaring, using, and managing types. The common type system establishes a framework that enables cross-language integration, type safety, and high-performance code execution. It is the raw material from which you can build class libraries. The Common Language Specification (CLS) defines a set of programmatically verifiable rules that governs the interoperation of types authored in different
  • ActionScript Virtual Machine 2 (AVM2) Overview Manual
  • The Adobe® ActionScript™ Virtual Machine 2, or AVM2 for short, was designed to execute programs written in the ActionScript 3.0 language. ActionScript 3.0 is based on ECMAScript, the international standardized programming language for scripting. ActionScript 3.0 is compliant with the ECMAScript Language Specification, Third Edition (ECMA-262). It also contains functionality based on ongoing work on ECMAScript Edition 4, occurring within the Ecma International standards body. This document describes the operation of the AVM2 and defines the file formats, data structures, and instruction formats used by the AVM2. The AVM2 was designed to support the ActionScript (AS) 3.0 language, and for the remaining chapters it is assumed that the reader is aware of the terminology and concepts of the language. The following vocabulary and associated definitions are taken from the ActionScript 3.0 Language Specification and are presented only as a review of the material. For full details, refer to the language specification. Download ActionScript Virtual Machine 2 (AVM2) Overview Manual

  • This document is only a guide containing recommended security settings. It is not meant to replace well-structured policy or sound judgment. Furthermore this guide does not address site-specific configuration issues. Care must be taken when implementing this guide to address local operational and policy concerns. The security changes described in this document only apply to Microsoft Windows 2000 systems and should not be applied to any other Windows 2000 versions or operating systems. This document contains possible recommended settings for the system Registry. Windows 2000 System Internet Information Services 5.0 can be severely impaired or disabled with incorrect changes or accidental deletions when using a Registry editor (Regedt32.exe or Regedit.exe) to change the system configuration. There is no “undo” command for deletions within the Registry. Registry editor prompts user to confirm the deletions if “Confirm on Delete” is selected from the options menu. When user deletes a key, the message does not include the name of the key being deleted. Check selection carefully before proceeding. • Web 2.0 in and out of the Language Classroom
  • This poster aims to provide the concept of Web 2.0 and its relevant tools in language teaching and learning. An online blog is served as an information kiosk and indicate possible instructional design and applications to language education. By experimenting with the Web 2.0 tool in a participatory community, we are hoping language teachers will learn about appropriate tools ready to be used and further think about the relationship of Web 2.0 and the four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and 5 Cs (communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities) as well as the Wallace’s framework for assessing its effectiveness The purpose of this poster is to investigate Web 2.0 and to understand users’ perspectives of its application in language teaching and learning. As discussed by O'Reilly (2005), an important principle of Web 2.0 is the web as a platform that facilitates the building of web-based communities and the contribution from collective intelligence. Web 2.0 has a multitude of good features (Amol Deshpande & Alejandro Jadad, 2006; O'Reilly, 2005; Skiba, 2006). It: 1) presages a freeing of data, 2) permits the building of virtual applications, 3) is participative, 4) has applications that work for the users, 5) has applications that are modular, 6) is about sharing, 7) is about community and facilitating community, 8) is about remixing, 9) is smart, 10) opens up the Long Tail. Given the fact that Web 2.0 is such a new concept, many language teachers and learners may still not be aware of this revolutionary progress in

  • SAP Help Reference: Transfer of Legacy Assets to the R/3 System Tutorial
  • The following settings have to be made in Customizing for Asset Accounting in preparation for the legacy data transfer (choose Asset Data Transfer): · Decide on the transfer date and the transfer options for each company code and/or depreciation area. · Specify the sequence in which the depreciation areas are to be supplied with values. It makes sense to arrange the depreciation areas so that those areas with values that are not, or only partially, calculated by the system, appear first on the screen in dialog transactions. · If you are using a year-dependent fiscal year version, you also have to carry out the following steps. For all historical fiscal years, from the capitalization year of your oldest asset minus 1, up to the current fiscal year, you have to · Maintain the calendar date assignments for the fiscal year variant (in Customizing for Financial Accounting). · Generate the depreciation period controls for Asset Accounting (in Customizing for Asset Accounting, choose Periodic processing). • SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office
  • Each day business users everywhere gather, manipulate and report information using Microsoft Office applications. But in most cases, the data that is needed for analyses and reports originates in, or is analyzed by, systems and applications outside of the Microsoft Office suite. Business analysts frequently need access to large data sources that exceed the limitations of Microsoft Office tools. They also may need access to sophisticated analytic techniques such as predictive analysis and forecasting capabilities that are not available in standard reporting packages. Yet they still need to present the results of their analysis in formats that others can share and understand. As a result, IT groups spend valuable time developing custom systems to channel data, reports and analyses from various systems into Microsoft Office documents, or integrating analytics into standard reporting applications. This leads to IT backlogs, long wait times for reports and analyses, and invalid analyses based on highly aggregated data. What if you could easily incorporate the powerful data management, analytics and reporting capabilities of SAS into your organization’s widely used Microsoft Office tools? With SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office, you can. SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office is a Component Object Model (COM) add-in to Microsoft Office that enables organizations to harness the power of SAS analytics and provides easy access to data directly from Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual Ebook
  • This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual information: There is an airbag readinesslight on the instrument panel, which shows “AIR BAG’ on it. The system checks the airbag’s electrical system for malfunctions. The light tells you if there is an electrical problem.See “Air Bag Readiness Light” in Index for more the information. When should an air bag inflate? The air bag is designed to inflate in moderate to severe frontal or near-frontal crashes. The airbag will inflate only if the impact speed is above the system’s designed “threshold level.” If your vehicle goes straight into a wall that doesn’t move or deform, the threshold level is about 9 to 15 mph ( 14 to 24 km/h). The threshold level can vary, however, with specific vehicle design, so that it can be somewhat above orbelow this range. If your vehicle strikes something that will move or deform, such as a parked car,the threshold level will be higher. The air bag is not designed to inflate in rollovers, side impacts, or rear impacts, because inflation would not help the occupant. Download 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Owner’s Manual Ebook
