  • Non-Programmers Tutorial For Python
  • So, you’ve never programmed before. As we go through this tutorial I will attempt to teach you how to program. There really is only one way to learn to program. You must read code and write code. I’m going to show you lots of code. You should type in code that I show you to see what happens. Play around with it and make changes. The worst that can happen is that it won’t work. When I type in code it will be formatted like this: ##Python is easy to learn print "Hello, World!" That’s so it is easy to distinguish from the other text. To make it confusing I will also print what the computer outputs in that same font. Now, on to more important things. In order to program in Python you need the Python software. If you don’t already have the Python software go to http://www.python.org/download/ and get the proper version for your platform. Download it, read the instructions and get it installed. Installing Python First you need to download the appropriate file for your computer from http://www.python.org/download. Go to the 2.0 link (or newer) and then get the windows installer if you use Windows or the rpm or source if you use Unix. The Windows installer will download to file. The file can then be run by double clicking on the icon that is downloaded. The installation will then proceed. If you get the Unix source make sure you compile in the tk extension if you want to use IDLE. Download pdf Non-Programmers

  • Accessibility of Emerging Rich Web Technologies: Web 2.0 and the Semantic Web
  • Web 2.0 is a new approach to Web content, making it more interactive and allowing sites to combine features in new ways. This change in paradigm brings new challenges to people with disabilities. Accessibility advocates must develop solutions rapidly. Semantic Web technologies address some of these requirements, and accessibility innovation may be part of A convergence of the Web 2.0 and Semantic Web. The term “Web 2.0” describes new characteristics of the Web. New types of services are made possible by the ability of sites to share or aggregate data, and for users to be part of the authoring process. For users, it is often characterized by much greater interactivity, with users able to influence what is presented to them. Often the content changes or updates frequently, such as in games, flight trackers, stock tickers, etc. In many ways there is a more desktop-like experience, in which Web applications converge with the features of ordinary applications. This is an emergent aspect of the combination of existing technologies supported by the open nature of the architecture of the Web. Although Web 2.0 applications behave increasingly like desktop applications, they continue to use Web technologies for content transmission, encoding, and presentation. These technologies are used or combined in novel ways that lack the accessibility features that have been built over years into their platform-specific counterparts and are just becoming effectively mainstream in “Web 1.0” content. Web 2.0 thus presents significant risks to accessibility. Because Web 2.0 is an emergent phenomenon rather than a specific technology or

  • Web 2.0 is the network as platform, spanning all connected devices; Web 2.0 applications are those that make the most of the intrinsic advantages of that platform: delivering software as a continually-updated service that gets better the more people use it, consuming and remixing data from multiple sources, including individual users, while providing their own data and services in a form that allows remixing by others, creating network effects through an “architecture of participation,” and going beyond the page metaphor of Web 1.0 to deliver rich user experiences. eBay Is a Web 2.0 Application! • All auctions (= eBay content) come out of the community • ¼ billion users that do not know The Power of the User • eBay account as a Web 2.0 identity – Combine eBay, PayPal, Skype, Kijiji … – SingleSignOn with other sites – eBay reputation (+ feedback) as a trust criteria • Good chances for eBay – Blogs, reviews will increase the effect The Power of the Item-node • eBay data as nodes in a semantic Web • Data has to agitate as a node – Very good chance as eBay items have a very high reach! • The 1994-2000 F650Log.pdf
  • I took what I felt was all of the good information from the maintenance section of the BMW F650 service manual and put it in what was intended to be … This isn’t “John Muir Does the F650.” Anyone who doesn’t know what feeler gages are, much less how to use them or who doesn’t own an F650 service manual will find this document to be of little help. No one-page tutorial exists on how to maintain a motorcycle. This is a just maintenance log sheet. The intent was to make a fast and simple document to facilitate servicing your bike, making available the important numbers to preclude digging through manuals with dirty paws. After reviewing the factory manual and maintenance procedures, I felt that something was missing. What was missing was the easy-reference checklist that used to come with BMW motorcycles. Furthermore, the factory manual makes no reference whatsoever to lubricating the steering head, swing-arm or wheel bearings. Previous models performed this during the “inspection” and just checked these items during the “service.” The factory manual makes it difficult to find necessary specifications, like the spark plug number for instance. The factory manual doesn’t tell you some things which it should like the Download 1994-2000 BMW F650 Manual
  • Connecting the iPod to a Bravo
  • The first thing I bought a chinch (pic.1) to headphones (pic. 2) cable. Taken the glove box out and the Fiat radio. Fitted the connection cable and 1 two line cable for power (pic.3), had the hole in the dash when I bought the car (prob. a mobile phone holder) Connected the two line cable (pic.3) to the negative ( - ) cable of the car, and the other one to the positive ( + ) witch only has power when the car is running. So the power line has no constant power and the LED that shows charging of the iPod isn't visible when the car is not running. Then I connected the Sony 5700 to the car and inserted the chinch's to the sony unit. (pic.4) This is it for the Sony unit side. Now comes the tricky part (so to say) First I had to find out witch car iPod holder has the charge option and constant level volume output. When connecting an iPod directly to the headphones jack (pic.2), the volume can be adjusted to a higher level from iPod and that can damage the amp. So I decided to buy PodGear CarDock Cradle & Charger (pic.5) (found it in MacWorld, bought it in Austria-closer to my country) - can find it on eBay for sure, regular coast in UK around 35£ inc. Vat.
