Open Source Physics: A User's Guide with ExamplesThe Open-Source Physics project is a synergy of curriculum development, computational physics, and physics education research. One goal of the project is to make a large number of Java simulations available for education using the GNU Open-Source model. This manual describes some of the classes and interfaces that are being used in this project.
Portions of Open Source Physics are being incorporated into the following:
• Java edition of An Introduction to Computer Simulation Methods by Harvey Gould, Jan Tobochnik, and Wolfgang Christian.
• Statistical and Thermal Physics project by Harvey Gould and Jan Tobochnik.
• Easy Java Simulations high-level modelling tool by Francisco Esquembre.
• Tracker video analysis program by Doug Brown.
Programmers wishing to adopt Open Source Physics tools for their own projects are encouraged to do so provided that these projects release their source code under the GNU Open-Source GPL license. Open Source Physics code is being distributed using CVS from the SourceForge web site:

We perform a market analysis to determine how and why SSH succeeded despite the existence of an entrenched legacy tool while similar technologies such as secure file transfer protocols have been far less successful. We show that network externalities, usually a first order effect, were not a significant factor impeding the adoption of SSH, and that SSH offered equivalent functionality and greater ease of use. We argue that these factors were the primary consideration in the willingness to change.
Additionally, we argue that the openness of the standard, which facilitated the creation of numerous compatible implementations, was a key element in the economic decision made by system administrators. • If you place an object with object data inside a block, the object data remains attached to the object that is placed into the block. You can access the object data by selecting the Nested Data option in the Edit Object Data dialog box
