USB connection:
The new standard for connecting printers to computers is the universal Serial Bus (USB) port. It passes data to the printer much more quickly, while requiring fewer system resources to do so. The Galaxy uses USB 2.0 the port is located on the backside of the machine, next to the power cord.
Installing the Print Driver
1. Insert the Epson 7600 installation disk into the Printer Server. Select the 7600 Dye printer, and then click the right arrow.
2. The installation disk will begin loading the software.
3. A compatibility warning will appear, disregard and Click Continue Anyway.
4. The software will begin to look for the Galaxy. Click on Discontinue Search to finish the setup.
5. The compatibility warning will pop-up again, Click Continue Anyway.
6. The driver has been installed, Click OK to continue with the setup.
7. Using the USB cable connect the print server to the Galaxy, turn the Power on to the Galaxy.

The only thing the PHP script does is to redirect to that URL passing a parameter that is a base64 encoded string: https://www.abcd.ox.ac.uk:8113/apps/contacts/login?id=base64string The id parameter is the base64 encoded version of an encryption of the username and the current date and time.
The login method of the Rails application looks at the id parameter, decodes it and then unencrypts it. So it now has the username and the date and time. In order to avoid replay attacks, the Rails application checks that the date and time refers to a recent date and time. It also checks that the username is in a list of valid usernames. If both these tests are passed, it sets a session variable (session[:user_id]) to "OK"; otherwise, it is set to "BAD". Interpreting the Indicator LEDs
The client adapter shows messages and error conditions through its two LEDs:
• Link Integrity/Power LED (green)—This LED lights when the client adapter is receiving power and blinks slowly when the adapter is linked with the network.
• Link Activity LED (amber)—This LED blinks quickly when the client adapter is receiving or transmitting data and blinks in a repeating pattern to indicate an error condition.

XDoclet simplifies continuous integration between components using attribute-oriented programming. It allows you to radically reduce development time by generating deployment descriptors and support code, allowing you to focus on application logic code. If you are a J2EE development veteran, then you realize keeping code in sync with deployment descriptors can be a drag. Often you may need to reuse components with other applications or in other environments like other application servers or with other database systems. You need to keep separate deployment descriptor for each application/environment combination, even if only one or two lines of the large deployment descriptor changes, you need to have a deployment descriptor for every possible configuration.
This can really slow down development. At times you may feel you spend more time syncing deployment descriptors than writing code. XDoclet facilitates automated deployment descriptor generation. As a code generation utility, it allows you to tack on metadata to language features like classes, method, and fields using what looks like JavaDoc tags. Then it uses that extra metadata to generate related files like deployment descriptor and source code. This concept has been coined attribute-oriented programming (not to be confused with aspect-oriented programming, the other “AOP”). XDoclet generates these related files by parsing your source files similar to the way the JavaDoc engine parses your source to create JavaDoc documentation. First off, what is a static mesh? In Unreal Ed, a static mesh is a piece of geometry that does not have any animations. This is not to say it won’t move in game. A few examples of static meshes would be the decorative piping you see running along walls or ceilings, a tree stump, or even an elevator lift that moves once you step on it. In the case of the elevator lift, it is animated using Matinee, Unreal’s key frame animation system, not an external 3D package such as Max or Maya. For more examples of static meshes, simply hop into Unreal Ed, open up your favorite package and look at the static meshes in there.
Note: This tutorial is being created using Maya 2008 as the 3D package of choice. There are slight differences and peculiarities in how you export models from the various 3D packages.
