Plug the MagSafe Airline Adapter into the EmPower port nearest your airline seat. Connect the other end to your computer’s MagSafe port. Using the MagSafe Airline Adapter provides power for your computer but does not charge the battery. Safety Unplug the MagSafe Airline Adapter before leaving your seat, to avoid tripping over the cable. Be careful not to spill liquid on the MagSafe Airline Adapter. For general safety and regulatory information, see the user’s guide that came with your computer.
Other Power Sources On airlines that have 20 mm power ports, use the 20 mm adapter (included in the kit) with the MagSafe Airline Adapter. EmPower port 20 mm port To attach the 20 mm adapter to the MagSafe Airline Adapter, align the airplane logos and slide the adapters together. Then insert the 20 mm adapter into a 20 mm port. When you unplug the MagSafe Airline Adapter from a 20 mm port, remove it by pulling on the 20 mm adapter, not the MagSafe cable. WARNING: Never plug the MagSafe Airline Adapter, with or without the 20 mm adapter or third-party adapter, into an automobile’s cigarette lighter or auxiliary power socket. Using the MagSafe Airline Adapter in a car won’t provide power to the computer or charge the battery.

A Note on This Tutorial. The history of the material for this tutorial is that Scott Guthrie wrote a terrific introduction to this material at the end of February, which he gave me permission to turn into a series of videos, currently (or soon to be) available on Silverlight.NET. This tutorial completes the circle by building on the videos and integrating the material into the Silverlight Tutorial series. The project we’re setting out to build is very similar to the Silverlight chat service built by ScottGu, and is shown in Figure 5-1
The Solution Files
Take a look in the upper right hand corner. The solution, project and other files created by Blend are identical to the files created by Visual Studio 2008. In fact; there is no exporting/importing between the two; you can open both development environments on the same files simultaneously and they will both work perfectly.

Begin by switching to design view, and then hold the control key and use the mouse wheel to zoom out so that you can see the entire grid. If your mouse doesn’t have a wheel, you can zoom by picking a value (or filling in an arbitrary value) at the bottom of the design window or by using the menu choices View?Zoom In and View?Zoom Out

These days, the term KM is used rather less than hitherto. However, as Web 2.0 has made its debut and user participation-type culture has expanded, the new concept of “collective intelligence” has been attracting attention. Opinions are currently being advanced with regard to the concept and process of KM and the system architecture that can be used to implement it. This paper also deals with the issue of knowledge provision, a traditional issue of KM, and introduces a KM model in the context of the Web 2.0 age that can expand collective intelligence in a positive spiral by closely linking it to knowledge extraction from various communication tools and job systems.
In his paper “What is Web 2.0” 1), which was announced in September 2005 and is currently attracting wide attention, Tim O’Reilly proposed the concept of Web 2.0. This concept is also exerting an important impact on the field of knowledge management (KM). The concept of KM became popular in early 1990’s, and many experts in business management made a large number of proposals in the domain of corporate education and knowledge creation and many managers and employees who were in sympathy with the concept conducted attempts in the field. Subsequently, the term KM became rather less popular as the 21st century began but the expansion of a user- participation type culture stimulated by Web 2.0 has brought theUnderstanding Microsoft's Web TechnologiesIn the beginning, the World Wide Web (WWW) was flat. It was an electronic library where academics and scientists posted dissertations and dusty data for reading with clunky, text-only browsers. With the advent of graphical browsers, the consumer oriented Web took off. Content became vastly more colorful. Remember where you were the first time you experienced the exciting blink and marquee tags? (I bet you wish you could forget those gems!) Anyway, the Web has evolved as a rich, interactive, and personalized medium. In the new version of Web (Web 2.0), functional pages aren’t enough. User experience (abbreviated as UX in geekspeak) is hot, and sites are cool. This chapter looks at Microsoft’s tools and technologies for creating and delivering engaging Web content.
Microsoft has a range of tools for authoring Web pages that appeal to several
skill levels. Some tools are more suited to Web page design, while others are
more appropriate to programming.
Microsoft Office (Including Word 2007)
When Bill Gates realized that Microsoft was lagging on the Internet front, the word went out to integrate Web support into every product. As a result, you can save Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint slides as Web pages.
Many companies use the Office suite to place information on their intranet because most employees are comfortable in Word and Excel. These tools are quite adequate for creating static Web content that some call brochure ware. Although somewhat bloated, the pages are faithful reproductions of the original document — especially when viewed in Microsoft’s latest Internet ExplorerMeeting Manager 1.2 Help GuideThis document is a guide to support WWRE® Meeting Manager. Meeting Manager supports a variety of platforms, operating systems, and browsers. Meeting Manager supports various Windows and Macintosh operating systems. It also supports many permutations of browser versions within those operating systems. The table on the following page shows which operating systems and browser versions Meeting Manager supports. If you do not know your machine’s configuration, refer to this guide’s remaining sections for instructions on how to check your configuration.
Macintosh users should note that Meeting Manager supports Macintosh users to view meetings and control applications shared by Windows users. Beyond that core functionality, there are several known limitations. The limitations are described in the table on the following page. This document does not provide information on how to check Macintosh configurations. Please refer to Macintosh help for information.
