Practical PHP ProgrammingWriting PHP code is quite a fun task – as we’re sure of you will agree – it’s an easily learnt, flexible, and feature-rich language that lends itself very well to scripts of all shapes and sizes. Almost certainly as a result of this comparative ease of use, many PHP programmers take to re-inventing the wheel a lot and spend much time writing and rewriting ‘new and improved’ code to handle authentication, caching, forums, opinion polls, and other systems that have been coded and recoded in the past.
This is not unique to PHP as a language. C++, for instance, utilises the Standard Template Library (STL) to provide abstract data types (ADTs) for programmers that are pre-written, pre-optimised, and are cross-platform. As a result, a programmer writing for Windows using C++ can create and use STL stacks, vectors, maps, and queues, and have them recompile smoothly on Mac OS, OS/390, Solaris, and, of course Linux. This is immensely time-saving, so it’s unsurprising that many other languages have their own versions of this plan. In PHP, this is known as PEAR, the PHP Extension and Application Repository, and is available from http://pear.php.net. The purpose of this tutorial is to briefly outline what PEAR can offer, with a particular focus (thanks to popular demand) on PEAR::DB, the advanced database abstraction library that forms the most popular part of PEAR.

A Network+ certification demonstrates your technical abilities in networking administration and support, and validates your knowledge of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation, and network support. If you have nine months of network administration and support experience, Network+ is ideal for you.
Network+ and Your Career
Many corporations recommend or require the Network+ certification for their IT employees. Companies like CDW Computer Centers and CompuCom know the value of a Network+ certification and require it of their IT employees. NexInnovations relies on IT certififcations to validate the skills of their employees — "A+ is the foundation of NexInnovations' training and certification program. We look for certifications that cover the broadest number of makes and models. When we add Network+ and Server+ to the mix, our employees show a versatility that's hard to beat."
"CompTIA A+ is the foundation of NexInnovations' training and certification program, but that's just the start. There's great value in Network+ and Server+ to round out the skill set and provide a solid career path for our employees." Domenic Creo, Director,Clients Operations Management, NexInnovations
As the demand for skilled network support professionals grows, Network+ is quickly becoming the standard for networking competency. Network+ is the perfect entry point into a networking career

If and where conflict arises between what is reported in the HTML documentation and this guide, preference should be given to the HTML documentation that is updated more frequently. JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) is a software development framework aimed at developing multi-agent systems and applications conforming to FIPA standards for intelligent agents. It includes two main products: a FIPA-compliant agent platform and a package to develop Java agents. JADE has been fully coded in Java and an agent programmer, in order to exploit the framework, should code his/her agents in Java, following the implementation guidelines described in this programmer’s guide.
This guide supposes the reader to be familiar with the FIPA standards1, at least with the Agent Management specifications (FIPA no. 23), the Agent Communication Language, and the ACL Message Structure (FIPA no. 61). JADE is written in Java language and is made of various Java packages, giving application programmers both ready-made pieces of functionality and abstract interfaces for custom, application dependent tasks. Java was the programming language of choice because of its many attractive features, particularly geared towards object-oriented programming in distributed heterogeneous environments; some of these features are Object Serialization, Reflection API and Remote Method Invocation (RMI).

Over the last 10 years, the XML standard has been adopted across a wide range of environments in the IT industry. Microsoft is one of many companies that is re-aligning its existing product range to take advantage of the flexibility of XML. One of its current initiatives is the standardization of the Office Open XML File Formats (‘File Formats’).This paper reviews the standardisation process that Microsoft has embarked upon and examines Microsoft’s legal arrangements related to intellectual property associated with the File Formats and the manner in which that legal treatment interacts with other products currently on the market.
This paper seeks to address and we hope to clarify any misunderstandings that may exist in the industry, among policymakers and the wider general public, about both the standardisation process and the legal arrangements governing implementation of the File Formats by others.
Overview of Office Open XML File Formats
For a number of years, the software and IT industry has been moving increasingly from proprietary systems and formats towards ‘open’ standards. In the business applications software market, there are moves to establish ‘open’ file formats of various office applications, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation products, in order to enable users to easily transfer their documents and data between different applications and to ensure that if their applications cease to be supported in the future that they canATEN UC-1284 Printer Cable User ManualATEN UC-1284 Printer Cable is a bridge that links the traditional IEEE 1284 parallel interface to the Universal Serial Bus(USB) interface. Our goal today is to animate an American-style football player, kicking the ball over the goal post. This character was created in 3ds max™ 4 and animated using character studio® 3, proven software solutions from Discreet. You will find a number of assets in the .zip file. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to take these assets into Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio and create an interactive 3D sequence, playable on the web. The player is kicking the ball over the goal post. The character is animated to perform a series of motions in sequence along a single timeline, i.e., an idle motion, a jog start, a kick sequence, a sprint with arms up and a jog stop. The football is animated to leave its start position, fly over the goal and bounce on the other side. The goal is to take these assets into Director Shockwave Studio and to make them interactive.
The tutorial begins with 3D creation tips and tricks for preparing the character mesh, skinning it onto the Biped® skeleton using Physique® and animating the character. Both Biped and Physique are character studio features. It then discusses the 3ds max Shockwave Exporter to Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio in the "Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio Environment" options and what happens when youPHP - Advanced TutorialVery rare since a MySQL client library is distributed with PHP and built into PHP by default.
