  • Introduction to C# 2.0
  • C# 2.0 introduces several language extensions, the most important of which are generics, anonymous methods, iterators, and partial types. • Generics permit classes, structs, interfaces, delegates, and methods to be parameterized by the types of data they store and manipulate. Generics are useful because they provide stronger compile-time type checking, require fewer explicit conversions between data types, and reduce the need for boxing operations and runtime type checks. • Anonymous methods allow code blocks to be written “in-line” where delegate values are expected. Anonymous methods are similar to lambda functions in the Lisp pro- gramming language. C# 2.0 supports the creation of “closures” where anonymous methods access surrounding local variables and parameters. • Iterators are methods that incrementally compute and yield a sequence of values. Itera- tors make it easy for a type to specify how the foreach statement will iterate over its elements. • Partial types allow classes, structs, and interfaces to be broken into multiple pieces stored in different source files for easier development and maintenance. Additionally, partial types allow separation of machine-generated and user-written parts of types so that it is easier to augment code generated by a tool. This chapter introduces these new features. Following the introduction are four chapters that provide a complete technical specification of the features. The language extensions in C# 2.0 were designed to ensure maximum compatibility with existing code. For example, even though C# 2.0 gives special meaning to the words where, yield, and partial in certain contexts, these words can still be used as identifiers. Indeed,
  • BMW Instrument Cluster SIA Reset Model: E38,E39,E46,E52,E53 Manual
  • BMW Owners Manuals E46 from 9/99 E38,E39,E53 from 9/00 On 2001 vehicles without the diagnostic connector in the engine compartment, the use of the SIA reset tool is not possible. The service indicator may be reset using the reset mode in the instrument cluster. Reset procedure for high and low clusters with SIA III using the Reset Mode: • Ignition key must be “off” • Press and hold the trip odometer reset button in the instrument cluster (left button), and turn the ignition key to the first position. • Keep the button pressed for approximately 5 seconds until one of the following words appear in the display: “OIL SERVICE, or “INSPECTION”, with “RESET”. The service due is shown with “reset” if the coded minimum consumption limit has been reached and resetting is possible. If “reset” is not shown, the minimum limit has not been reached and resetting is not possible. • Press and hold the reset button again until the word “RESET” begins to flash. • PHP Nuke Management and Programming
  • PHP?Nuke is free software, released under the GNU License. It is a CMS (Content Managment System) that integrates in its inside all the instruments that are used to create a site/portal of information (meant in broad sense). Given the immense number of present functions in the installation and in an even greater quantity of modules developed from third parties, the system is also adept to the management of • Intranet business, • e?commerce systems, • corporate portals , • public agencies, • news agencies, • online companies, • information sites, • e?learning systems • and so on... PHP?Nuke utilizes as hinge of its own structure the duo PHP+ MySQL, very often being accompanied by the Apache web server. Many modules have integrated many other languages, such as Javascript, Java, Flash and also even systems that serve, through the portal, sounds and films in streaming mode(Online Radio, TV Online, Images, Files...) PHP?Nuke is developed with a particular eye to the suggestions of the W3C, in its origin, the code is in fact W3C compliant and one has validated both the code and the style sheets. It is then up to the user who intends to create a portal to adhere to these standards during the modification of the graphics or the intrinsic characteristics of the system. The personalisation either of the graphical, or of the programming part has only a single limit, the fantasy and capability of the programer and web designer. The presence of many PHP?Nuke sites similar to each other is due mainly to the lack of time of those who created them

  • Linux Guide Step by Step Tutorial pdf
  • How to install Linux since it is very straight forward but it gives you real world mail, DNS, proxy, web, messaging etc… server installations and configurations. System administration is all the things that one has to do to keep a computer system in a useable shape. It Includes things like backing up files and restoring , installing new programs, creating accounts for users, making certain that the filesystem is not corrupted, and so on. There is no one official Linux distribution, so different people have different setups, and many people have a setup they have built up themselves. This book is not targeted at any one distribution, even though I use Red Hat Linux 8 and 9 the contents can be applied to any distribution. Many people have helped me with this book, directly or indirectly. I would like to especially thank my own brother Dilan Kalpa De Silva, Luckshika Jayadeva for her excellent type-setting, my ever loving mother, two sisters and my aunt Mallika Vitharana. • Short History of STL
  • In October of 1976 I observed that a certain algorithm – parallel reduction – was associated with monoids: collections of elements with an associative operation. That observation led me to believe that it is possible to associate every useful algorithm with a mathematical theory and that such association allows for both widest possible use and meaningful taxonomy. As mathematicians learned to lift theorems into their most general settings, so I wanted to lift algorithms and data structures. One seldom needs to know the exact type of data on which an algorithm works since most algorithms work on many similar types. In order to write an algorithm one needs only to know the properties of operations on data. I call a collection of types with similar properties on which an algorithm makes sense the underlying concept of the algorithm. Also, in order to pick an efficient algorithm one needs to know the complexity of these operations. In other words, complexity is an essential part of the interface to a concept. In the late 70’s I became aware of John Backus’s work on FP. While his idea of programming with functional forms struck me as essential, I realized that his attempt to permanently fix the number of functional forms was fundamentally wrong. The number of functional forms – or as I call them now – generic algorithms is always growing as we discover new algorithms. In 1980 together with Dave Musser and Deepak Kapur I started working on a language Tecton to describe
  • STXM 5.3.2 User Manual
  • In Scanning Transmission X-ray Microscopy (STXM) a micro focused soft x-ray beam is generated by a zone plate, illuminates the sample and the transmitted x-rays are detected. Transmission images are obtained by a raster scan of the sample. Spectra are obtained in point, line or image mode by acquiring signal at multiple photon energies. The 5.3.2STXM is an interferometrically controlled device mounted on a dedicated bending magnet beamline. The user controls both the beamline and the microscope from a single computer. The primary signal measured in STXM is transmitted intensity (I) as a function of energy (spectra), or position (images). This signal, when converted to optical density (OD), is sensitive to sample thickness, density and composition, according to the following equation. (Io: incident photon flux intensity) where ? is the linear absorption coefficient, t is the thickness, µ is the mass absorption coefficient and ? is the density. The useful range of OD is from 0.1 to 3. If there is too little absorption (sample too thin) the signal is lost in the noise. If the absorption is too great, then various artifacts dominate the observed signal, which is no longer quantitative. For organic material with a density of 1 samples need to be between 50 and 300 nm. At higher energy edges or lower density samples, somewhat thicker samples are optimum. Measuring a raster scanned set of pixels and converting with the incident flux (measured through a hole), gives an x-ray OD image at a single photon energy. Changing the photon
