They allow a malicious program to control the chip's operating temperature and potentially cause denial of service or even permanent damage. This paper provides an overview of the various vulnerabilities, their costs, and offe preliminary suggestio on how to reduce these risks. Keywords Thermal, temperature, power, cooling, security, virus, failsafe, overheating, throttling, overclocking, DVS 1. Introduction A chip's power dissipation and hence heat dissipation are program-dependent. This mea that malicious programs can potentially be written to manipulate the way a computer chip dissipates power, intentionally affecting battery life and operating temperature. The risks associated with such “power Download PDF
  • 2000 AUDI S4 Manual PDF
  • The Audi S4 is an A4 with a sport suspension, 17-inch. wheels, a six-speed manual gearbox, the requisite Quattro all-wheel drive system, and above all. The long-awaited S4 has finally arrived. The Audi S4 is an A4 with a sport suspension, 17-inch wheels, a six-speed manual gearbox, the requisite Quattro all-wheel drive system, and above all, a spirited 2.7-litre biturbo V-6 that generates a whopping 250 horsepower. Interior and trunk The doors open 90 degrees to facilitate access, but a few contortions are necessary to get out from the rear because of the narrow door openings. Audi wisely places the front door handles nearer the front where they are easier to reach when the doors are wide open. Typically German, the seats are firmer than some might like. The front seats are very supportive for long hours of driving. However, they do not have a memory function, and the power controls are hard to reach when the doors are shut. The driving position is very good but tall individuals will find that even with the seat at its lowest position, the steering wheel hides part of the instrument panel. The sunroof uses up a lot of headroom. The brake pedal and accelerator are a bit close, as drivers may discover when wearing winter boots. Here for download the 2000 Audi S4 Manual Book

  • Microsoft Excel 2007
  • Excel is Microsoft’s Spreadsheet program. Spreadsheets are often used as a method of displaying and manipulating groups of data in an effective manner. It was originally created for accounting. Excel is useful when you have a very large set of data and need to perform the same operation on each Series / Set of it. It is well-suited to tasks such as sorting, alphabetizing, and performing more complex mathematical functions on data such as adding 2 columns together. Things to Note – Data Types and Formulas Entering Data Data does not have to start at Cell A1. Data can be placed wherever you like as long as your data is in a solid block of adjacent cells. When you print, you can select a specific set of cells so that empty cells are not printed. Data Types There are several different types of data that can be entered into a cell. Some common Data Types are: - Text - Numbers - Dates - Currency Each of these can be formatted to suit the requirements of your data. For instance, you can alter the number of decimal places for a Number, or the way a date is written out or abbreviated with a Date. Most Data is entered by typing Data into a cell or group of cells, then defining a Data Type and Format for the cells. If you have a large block of cells with the same Data Type and Format, you can select them all at once and set the Data Type and Format for all of them. Get
  • Virtools: How to create interactive textures and an orbital camera
  • This tutorial shows how to create behaviors for interactive textures: scrolling, blending textures on the faces of a cube. We will work on one face of the cube with its specific material-shader and one texture “mountain.jpg”. Part 4 of this tutorial covers setting up an orbital camera. Part 1- In Maya, exporting a cube with textures Before exporting to Virtools, make sure that all faces inside the cube have their normals facing towards the inside of the cube. Go to Modeling, Display > Polygon Components > Normals Normals are represented with colored lines sticking out of the faces of the cube. The red arrow shows the way one normal should look like. The red arrow indicates a normal that needs to be reversed. Go to Modeling, Edit Polygons > Normals > Reverse Creating a database Resource folder: Open Virtools and create a Resource database, go to Resource > create New Data Resource Folder, name of your choice and save in the location of your choice. Virtools automatically creates a Resource.rsc file and a Resource folder which contains several subfolders. The file called Resource.rsc is used to open the database Resource folder in Virtools. This folder is independent from the composition that you will later create in Virtools. It can be used to exchange assets between projects. • Collaborative Storytelling in the Web 2.0
  • Prosuming is one of the magic activities of the Web 2.0. The idea that media con- sumers can become media producers has been validated with all its pros and cons in systems like YouTube and Flickr.com. There is a re-newed discussion about expert and amateur cultures or even cults [3]. Especially, making movies was thought to be an area where only teams of highly specialized experts equipped with a lot of money can produce high quality movies with a world-wide audience. But next to Hollywood other production centers emerged like ”Bollywood” in India or ”Nollywood” in Nigeria with local practices. YouTube has proven that amateurishly produced content can fascinate people on the Internet. We want to combine both worlds, multimedia production knowledge and Web 2.0 production knowledge shall be united for serving the knowledge sharing needs for a society who has not forgotten the power of stories, yet. In learning processes, the substantial challenge is also maintaining and extending learners’ expertise and knowledge. As stated in [2], way that people get information to solve problems is through their social networks. Moreover, people rely on other people to get information and learn. Some knowledge is easy to be acquired and mastered when it is not impersonal, because emotions might be involved and motivation is more clear. Storytelling is an efficient means to fulfill learning goals [11]. Knowledge is exchanged within communities when stories are told. Non-linear storytelling is kind of interaction between communities and media, in order to keep people by certain
  • ZoneBench User Guide
  • The instructions and explanations in this guide assume that you understand how to operate your Macintosh computer. You should, for example, know how to choose, select, launch, and drag by using your mouse. In addition, you should also understand how the desktop, windows, dialog boxes, buttons and file/folders work within the Macintosh environment. For more information about these items, please refer to your Macintosh User?s Guide. SpeedTools ZoneBench is a benchmarking application designed to measure the read and write speeds over an entire local storage device. That device can be either logical (such as a disk volume which is actually a RAID array made up of two or more disk drives) or physical (such as your internal ATA disk drive). ZoneBench also has the capability to measure the speed of read-only volumes such as a mounted CD or DVD data disc. ZoneBench does not measure the speed of burning recordable CD/DVD discs, however. Measuring speeds across an entire device is important because most storage devices do not maintain consistent speeds across their entire storage area. For example, all modern hard disk drives get slower as data is accessed further and further toward the physical end of the drive. Conversely, CD and DVD ROM discs get faster as you access toward the physical end of disc. (This is because CD's and DVD's are read starting at the center of the disc moving progressively outwards. Warning: ZoneBench is designed to be non-destructive. However, because ZoneBench reads and writes directly to your storage device, there is

It includes a list of people to whom we loan our books. The application has four Java classes: 1. Person has fields for the person's name and a number which will be the maximum number of books this person can borrow at one time. 2. Book has fields for title, author, and the person who is currently borrowing the book. 3. MyLibrary contains a list of all of our books and a list of all of the people who might borrow them. It includes methods for checking books out to people and checking them back in. It also includes a main() method that simulates a user session. In the main() method, a new MyLibrary is created, books and people are created and added to it, and some books are checked out and check in. At various points, information about the MyLibrary object is printed to the system console. Download pdf Eclipse and Java: Using the Debugger Companion Tutorial Document
