Nikon M-22U Measuroscope with QC-5200 Software with Video Edge DetectionThe Measuroscope is used to measure the lateral distance between two features on a substrate. The system uses video edge detection to reduce operator error by removing judgment inconsistencies. Resolution depends on magnification of objective and type of detection selected. Minimum resolution is 100 nm for 100x objective and video edge detection.
Video Edge detection
– Detects edges from distinct variations in field intensity
– Must have objective selection on the screen the same as the objective in use.
Probes
• Singly ‘fired’ by pressing the center scroll button on the mouse.
• Continuously fired by selecting ‘continuous fire’ on menu created by right clicking over video view.
To acquire points:
1. Select a feature measurement (on upper center menu) or use Measure Magic
2. Select a probe
a. One of those listed above, or
b. New probe can be used by selecting a point or multiple points depending on if measuring a point, line, or arc/circle (1, 2, or 3 points, respectively). The last point selected should be ‘dragged’ across the edge by the mouse to create the proper probe.
3. Position the probe over the video image
4. Size the probe
5. Select direction of scan (light to dark, dark to light, or first edge)
6. Click the center mouse button to fire

In the past, specialists usually designed both specific optimized equipments and codes to relief this concern. Doing like this could work for quite a long time, however, in this era, there is another significant restraint, the time to market. To be able to serve along the power constraint while can launch products in shorter production period, object-oriented programming (OOP) has stepped in to this field.
Though everyone knows that OOP has quite much more overhead than assembly and procedural languages, development trend still heads to this new world, which contradicts with the target of low power consumption. Most of the prior power related software researches reported that OOP consumed much resource, however, as industry had to accept it due to business reasons, up to now, no papers yet had mentioned about how to choose the best OOP practice in this power limited boundary.
This article is the pioneer that tries to specify and propose the optimized strategy in writing OOP software under energy concerned environment, based on quantitative real results. The language chosen for studying is C# based on .NET Framework 2.0 which is one of the trendy OOP development environments. The recommendation gotten from this research would be a good roadmap that can help developers in coding that well balances between time to market and time of battery.
Download pdf Object-Oriented Programming Strategies in C# or Power Conscious SystemTeach Yourself JAVA in 21 DaysJava is an object-oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems, a company best known for its high-end Unix workstations. Modeled after C++, the Java language was designed to be small, simple, and portable across platforms and operating systems, both at the source and at the binary level (more about this later). Java is often mentioned in the same breath as HotJava, a World Wide Web browser from Sun like Netscape or Mosaic (see Figure 1.1). What makes HotJava different from most other browsers is that, in addition to all its basic Web features, it can also download and play applets on the reader’s system.
Applets appear in a Web page much in the same way as images do, but unlike images, applets are dynamic and interactive. Applets can be used to create animations, figures, or areas that can respond to input from the reader, games, or other interactive effects on the same Web pages among the text and graphics. Although HotJava was the first World Wide Web browser to be able to play Java applets, Java support is rapidly becoming available in other browsers. Netscape 2.0 provides support for Java applets, and other browser developers have also announced support for Java in forthcoming products.

Download manualm-Dvara 2.0: Mobile & Web 2.0 Services Integration for Cultural HeritageWeb 2.0 marks a new philosophy where user is the main actor and content producer: users write blogs and comments, they tag, link, and upload photos, pictures, videos, and pod- casts. As a step further, Mobile 2.0 adapts Web 2.0 technol- ogy to mobile users. We intend to study how Web 2.0 and Mobile 2.0 together can be applied to the cultural heritage sector. A number of cultural institutions and museums are introducing in their projects some Web 2.0 applications, but the main knowledge source remains a small group of a few experts.
Our approach is different: we plan to let all the users, the crowd, to be the main contents provider. We aim to the crowdsourcing, the long tail power, as we call fuel of cultural heritage system. In this paper, we describe the m-Dvara 2.0 project, whose aim is a system that lets users to create, share, and use cultural contents including mobile context-aware features.
With Web 2.0 and social software we represent all webbased services with “an architecture of participation”, that is, one in which users interact and generate, share, and take care of the content (http://museumtwo.blogspot.com). Mobile 2.0 is the evolution of mobile technology to let us “capturing the content at the point of inspiration” (http://blog.comtaste.com/2007/06/what_is_social_in_mobile_web_2.html), that is, in the exact moment in which the inspiration and the opportunity exist to do it. Nowadays, Cultural Heritage Organizations (museums, archaeological sites, historical towns, even libraries, etc.) are trying to understand the evolution of the Web, but they tend toHonda of Lubbock Tab ad (Page 1)See your participating Honda Dealer for complete details.
